Modern problems of science and education. Ecodesign: from consumption to creation Comfort of natural materials

Modern eco design in the interior (Greek eikos - house, habitat) - "ecological" style "made of natural materials giving a feeling of freshness and unity with nature. Today it is one of the most sought-after modern styles.
Eco design is an attempt to recreate the natural environment in human habitats. The meaning of eco-design lies in the name itself - the interior, made in this vein, is in optimal harmony with the environment. It is in an "environmentally friendly" room that a person can feel all the benefits of natural materials and really take a break from the stuffy city.
Eco-design or naturel is expressed only due to its natural origin, the naturalness of materials, colors, and the correctness of forms.

The main elements of Eco-Design:
basic materials: wood, stone, clay, glass, fabrics made from natural materials;
main colors: beige, brown, white (in contrast with black or dark wood), delicate pastel colors. More often natural colors are used: pale green, pale blue, colors of grass, water, stone, wood, soil;
closeness to nature or a feeling of closeness, in such an interior it is easy to breathe, there is a lot of light.

History of Eco-Design
This style does not have a turbulent history of development, as well as famous architectural monuments. The style can hardly be called unique, due to the borrowing of forms and methods from other styles.
The appeal to "eco" somehow happens, but this is only a mixture of eco-design with others. For example, the architect Alvar Aalto, the “father of modernism,” designed houses with trees growing through the roofs and vines wrapping around them.
They started talking about eco-design at the end of the 20th century, when people got tired of environmental problems and decided to create their own "clean" world in an apartment or house. This design is interesting because it is dictated by nature itself. Man, as part of the world and nature, is in no hurry to abandon it, seeks to preserve it, reproduce it on suburban area or an apartment, as in eco-design.
Of course, an appeal to nature has been encountered before in other styles. It was expressed in painting, murals, textures, architectural elements and sculptures. The most vividly natural themes were reflected in Art Nouveau. But if modern is based on elements of classical styles, then eco-design is based on modern ones, not disdaining the presence of technology and electronics, which is by no means natural.
Also partly country is eco-design, apart from its departure from modernity. The "progenitors" of eco-design are considered Scandinavian designers, who provided the basis for combining the naturalness of the material and innovative form, as well as Japanese traditionalists.
Due to its positive energy, promoting relaxation, paying attention to health and correctness of life, eco-design in the interior quickly found its fans and continues to be popular in modern houses and apartments.
Today, it is very common to find a mixture of other styles with eco-design, in other words, eco-stylization of the interior.

Eco Design Features
The creation of eco-design in the interior cannot be subject to any axioms, of course, except for the rule that says that only harmless and natural materials can be used. Your character, passions, habits, age and even status can be reflected in the created interior, while its belonging to eco-design will be undeniable.
Eco-design in the interior is very popular and widely used. For arrangement, both a cottage and a chill-out in the office (a place to relax) and even a meeting room are suitable. The main principle of eco-design is naturalness in everything. Therefore, no chipboard, plastic and chrome-plated metal in furniture and decor items.
One of the most significant advantages of eco-design is the great opportunities for the realization of your fantasies, you can use any colors and any natural materials in finishing and furnishing. Natural materials such as reed or other hardwood wallpapers, river stones, which can be used as wall cladding, are perfect.
In ecological style, the content determines the form: all decoration consists of natural materials. This style invites us to appreciate the virgin beauty of wood, stone, vines, cotton, linen, wool, baked clay. It is not necessary to overload these natural textures with various patterns, reliefs, bright colors and original designs. Let everything be simple and natural.

Eco-design walls: wooden panels, cork, simple paper wallpaper with a subtle floral pattern, or better without a pattern at all, or wallpaper made from natural plant materials, you can add ceramic tiles (plain or also with a floral pattern), finishing stone, use white plaster.
Eco-design ceiling: wooden panels or a combination wooden beams with a light ceiling (stretch or whitewashed) - great solution for eco design interior.
Eco-design floor: in eco-style, they are laid out from stone or terracotta tiles in a natural shade. Eco-style wooden parquet is no less in demand, both from European species and exotics, bamboo or cork. An additional technique may be the combination of a tree of dark and light species.
Eco-design furniture: made of natural wood, better than solid wood. Tables and stools made of saw cuts and a solid tree trunk and countertops made of natural stone or marble. There should not be a lot of carving, yet the interior is modern, which means that the shape is straightforward, the figures are simple. Facilitate the array, rattan furniture. It is worth mentioning that eco-design furniture is not cheap. In addition to the fact that natural wood furniture is an order of magnitude more expensive than its artificial counterparts, even in eco-style furniture made of solid wood (solid wood without joints) is more preferred. You will only have to put up with this, unless you find “private carpenters” to replace salons with similar furniture, which is extremely difficult. A cheaper alternative would be Scandinavian-style furniture.

For doorways lightweight solid wood doors or wood veneer doors are desirable. You can add glass interior doors V wooden frame, curtains made of "beads" made from natural materials (shells, bamboo sticks).
Eco-design fabrics have never been classified as “rich”, traditionally they symbolized the simple rural life. Today, curtains made of matting and matting are considered the height of sophistication. Adherents of ecological style assure that natural undyed fabrics even have a different energy. Choose for curtains and fabric trim things from linen, chintz, canvas, matting, coarse wool. In art salons for very affordable price gray unbleached canvas for sale. This is a very effective fabric for decorating an ecological interior. From it you can make curtains, tablecloths, upholstery for furniture. In addition, it makes sense to look after woven blinds-mats: they are suitable both for window decoration and simply as wall mats or dividing screens.
Decor items in eco-design: vases made of glass (usually green) or clay, natural flowers, wicker baskets, chests, tree branches, simple linen or cotton textiles, decorative fountains, wooden or straw fruit bowls and salt shakers. In an eco-design kitchen, bunches of dried herbs and bunches of onions give a special coziness. Every object in an eco-design interior should maintain a sense of natural touch, whether it be a painting or a composition of dried flowers.
Dishes in eco-design should be simple and plain soft colors. Complicated patterns are not allowed, the pattern in ethnic style is best. The best material would be ceramic or colored glass. Wooden utensils will be good, as well as cotton napkins.

Getting closer to nature, and hence eco-design, will help you to have not just a few flowers in pots, but a created winter garden or its mini-version, when only one zone is decorated with flowers. You can even decorate with stones, lying separately or in the form of a rock garden in a small area. An aquarium, a terrarium or a cage with birds will also decorate the interior.
A room made in eco-design should be well lit, it is not just light in it, it has its own weather, gloomy or sunny - it all depends on your mood. To achieve such a high result, fluorescent lamps are used as light sources, which, in addition to performing the main function (lighting), will also save energy.
To decorate a house in the style of naturel, it is not at all necessary to upholster the entire apartment with wood. It is enough to make one thing out of wood - the floor, walls, doors or windows. You can also buy raw, and therefore cheaper wood and bring it to perfection yourself. This, of course, will take more time, but after all, working with natural wood- this is also, to some extent, communication with nature and a kind of tribute to the chosen ecological style.
The main mistake is the presentation of eco-design in the form of country music, with its big amount decorative elements, carvings, lace, paintings, etc. Do not forget eco-design reflects the modern interior, its minimalism, simplicity and functionality, do not clutter it up and turn it into a house in the countryside.

Ecodesign is a trend that is used everywhere today. Residents of big cities experience an irreplaceable longing for wildlife, and business successfully uses this.

Ecodesign as a big and serious global business trend is divided into two sub-trends, one of which claims to be global and more serious, and the second one does not pretend to anything. We are talking about ecodesign and its, let's say, its simplified similarity, which we, with your permission, will call “ecodesign”.

The main idea of ecodesign is to give people not nature, but its illusion. Or even further - the illusion of concern for nature. When you see an advertising slogan like: “We care about nature, that's why we...”, then you often understand that these are just beautiful words and a game on fashion trends.

And yet, "ecodesign" can help a person quite significantly. If, for example, you simply reduce the noise level in your room or properly organize leisure areas by placing light that does not depress the psyche, remembering the benefits Green colour and having built an island of harmony in space, you can pass for an eco-designer. Ergonomics, some branches of medicine (hygiene), and the same - Feng Shui are studying ways to adapt space to be environmentally friendly in relation to a person.

Another thing is environmental friendliness not in relation to man, but to nature itself. In this case, we can talk about ecodesign in the full sense of the word. Humanity has accumulated enough information about what badly affects itself. But it does not know anything about what badly affects entire natural ecosystems - the sea and stream, soils and forests, the atmosphere, plant species, insects, and so on. Since small businesses work more with the first incarnation of this trend, the examples given will be more about “eco-design”.

Eco-furniture grown from mushrooms

Science and design have long known mushroom plastic, mushroom foam plastic, and mushroom plastic. All of these are environmentally friendly alternatives. harmful plastic. Agree, it would be surprising if the matter did not soon come to eco-friendly ... mushroom furniture. Bioengineers from the American companies Terreform ONE and Genspace decided to explore the possibilities of mycelium in this capacity.

They built an eco-house called Fab Tree Hab Living House. Its peculiarity is that all the furniture inside is completely composed of mushrooms. The mushroom picker grows in a special mold. Mold in this case is such a form of furniture, which is worked out with the help of computer systems that predict the behavior of the mycelium.

The material-content of the mold is called Mycoform. It contains mycelium, oat bran, wood chips, gypsum and other agricultural waste contaminated with the fungus Ganoderma Lucidum. Once placed in a warm and humid environment, fungi begin to fuse organic substrates together using their enzymes. As a result, the waste turns into a very durable and stylish biopolymer.

The main advantages of mushroom furniture are low production costs and high environmental friendliness. Mycoform is 100% biodegradable - all furniture can be thrown outside and it will immediately turn into fertilizer useful for the garden. It is possible to produce such furniture in the most primitive workshop - the energy consumption requirements are minimal.

Terreform ONE plans to start mass production of furniture in the near future, namely mushroom benches, sofas, sofas, ottomans in high-tech style - the design of mushroom furniture impresses with its progressiveness. What is especially interesting is that the company is not going to sell its products in London and Paris, but in developing countries and third world countries. Due to the cheapness of the materials used (read - waste), the mushroom piece of furniture will be available to the buyer with a low level of income. In addition, the organic polymer is so reliable that it can be used to build interior walls and insulation systems.

Phytowall with automatic control

One of the most promising areas in the ecodesign business is the production, installation and maintenance of phytowalls. Naava from Finland has created a smart plant wall (phytowall) that requires little to no maintenance. In order to maximize the benefit of each installation, all Maintenance the company decided to trust the system artificial intelligence(AI). Built-in sensors automatically regulate the air flow, water supply and light. If necessary, AI adapts to satellite data that reports the weather at a particular location.

For the phytowall, the creators selected exclusively hypoallergenic plants. Their roots are located in inorganic material, so they do not need any soil. Installing the wall is done effortlessly with the help of an online guide.

The buyer can adjust the wall to any design, choose the wall of the color he likes and according to his budget. Developing a phytowall and operating system to it, the company relied on NASA research. The task was. to create such a piece of furniture that would properly supply the room clean air, but at the same time did not require care from the owner.

Honeycomb key holder

A characteristic feature of ecodesign lies in the richness of small elements of nature that can serve as inspiration for the creation of small products. American designers Malory Panjilinan and Luz Cabrera have developed a wall-mounted key holder with an unusual design. The product is decorated in the form of a honeycomb. Keys are hung in place using gold-plated hex keyrings. Thus, when one of the family members comes home, one “honeycomb” seems to be sealed with honey.

In such an unusual way, the authors decided to beat the iconic phrase of the 1950s “Honey, I" m Home! who came home to his beloved wife after a long working day and with this phrase notified her of his arrival.

The word honey in Russian is translated as "dear", "sweet" or "dear" and it is this word that American spouses most often use when referring to each other. In the first meaning, “honey” means honey, which apparently served as the starting point for creating a product in the form of honeycombs - a home for bees that make this same honey.

Green houses in Spain

One of the main directions in ecodesign is the exterior design of buildings. This direction has prospects also because it is beginning to find support from the authorities.

One of the office buildings in Malaga has been entirely created in the spirit of the green concept. It uses ecological energy sources and vegetation as the main element of the facade.

Designed by architect Juan Blasquez, the building is a prototype of Spain's emerging sustainable architecture. Firstly, living vegetation is used in the exterior and crowns the facade of the building and another outer wall. Secondly, it implies environmentally friendly energy sources.

Externally, the building on the one hand resembles a huge barrel, and on the other - a large iron wagon standing on concrete piles. You can get inside by a ladder that leads to an opening in the bottom. According to the plan of the local authorities, such buildings will soon be mandatory for the offices of all government officials in Malaga. However, it is not reported whether the activities of the officials themselves will become more "environmentally friendly" than it was before.

FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF ECOLOGICAL DESIGN IN ARCHITETURAL PLANNING

Abstract

The article deals with fundamental principles of ecological design in architectural planning which are directly related to the concept of sustainability in the built environment. The author briefly touches on the aspects of planning which are paid great attention to in “green design”.The author draws attention to some alternative energy sources and the ir methods of application in ecological design and green planning. The writer proposes the efficient systems to meet the requirements of ecological design.

keywords: ecological design, “green design”, sustainability, efficiency, renewable resources.

Environmental design is one of the most frequently discussed topics in various fields of science, with one way or another related to the creation of the built environment. The importance of "green design" is increasing day by day as the world's population increases and the amount of natural resources decreases. The paradox of our time is an increase in the standard of living of people with a decrease in the consumption of natural resources.

In the field of architecture and construction, the concept of sustainable design was defined by Scott in 1999 as “the creation and responsible management of a healthy built environment based on the efficient use of resources and on environmental principles» .

The design of "green" buildings is not a specific method, but a combination of many methods, a certain choice of materials and technologies that, if properly integrated into the project, can increase the level of the designed object in terms of its environmental friendliness. This design optimizes energy use, limits water consumption and maximizes the use of recycled materials.

The basic principles that underlie environmental design in the architectural design and construction industry are as follows:

  1. saving existing material resources;
  2. improving the energy efficiency of buildings;
  3. measures to reduce heat losses;
  4. the need for more efficient plant and equipment;
  5. providing a hierarchy of rooms that require different temperature conditions and orientation relative to the cardinal points corresponding to each room;
  6. the need to use renewable energy sources (solar, geothermal energy);
  7. ensuring optimization of natural ventilation.

The principles of ecological design can be applied to individual houses, as well as to districts and industrial parks. They can be used to improve existing urban and suburban areas, as well as in the design of new ones. The improvement of already existing areas must begin with consideration of such problems as environmental protection, inefficiency in the use of materials, environmental pollution.

Humans cannot exist without the use of natural resources as sources of food, materials, industrial products and energy. The main goal of ecological design is to maintain environmental sustainability by applying ways to produce goods, construct buildings, design large systems such as business parks and industrial parks, reducing the consumption of natural resources and avoiding environmental damage.

Also in ecological design, special attention is paid to the design of lighting, ventilation, and heating. Thoughtful design and control of lighting management can reduce energy consumption and allow more natural light to be used. It is important to maximize the penetration of daylight into the building while minimizing heat gain, thus reducing the load on artificial lighting. Efficiency can be increased by using automatic controls such as timers and motion sensors in infrequently used rooms.

Competent thermal insulation of ceilings and walls would reduce overheating and hypothermia of building structures, as a result of which operating costs would also be reduced.

Solar energy plays an important role in green design. Solar heating systems can be installed in all types of buildings. Significantly reduce heating costs in both residential and commercial buildings allows pre-heating the air with such a system. The use of a solar heating system is especially effective in large buildings such as hospitals, schools, hangars, Sport halls as well as multi-storey residential buildings. The vast majority of solar heating systems require the installation of so-called solar walls. Such equipment can be installed on both new and existing buildings. Solar walls require minimal maintenance, do not have liquids and removable parts in the design. Besides solar systems can work in cloudy weather and at night, but under these conditions, their effectiveness is significantly reduced.

Green design also makes efficient use of geothermal energy. It is used in air conditioning, heating and systems that convert geothermal energy into electricity. Installing a geothermal system requires a large investment, but allows you to get an inexhaustible source of energy that will provide from 60 to 70% of the energy needed to heat a building. Geothermal energy is continuously supplied from a source that is not affected by atmospheric conditions. The complexity of extracting this energy depends on the structure of geological formations and the composition of rocks.

In terms of building materials and furniture, they can be selected to be made (in terms of energy and material consumption) from renewable resources with a long service life and the possibility of reuse or recycling. It is important that when using this furniture and materials indoors, they do not emit harmful substances. Building materials must provide long-term life cycle buildings, while reducing adverse impacts on environment. The effectiveness of building materials should be evaluated in terms of the energy consumed in the process of their extraction, production and transportation.

The use of plants in ecological design is especially common. There is a universal system for using plants indoors on various surfaces. The system consists of polypropylene waterproof pallets, which can be of any size. This system has a groove and recess along the entire back surface. The independent irrigation system is computerized, has remote control and is supplied with standard recirculation tanks. Recirculation tanks are located under the system, or they can be filled either automatically or manually.

As a rule, the use of ecological design principles in the design leads to additional costs. From this point of view, green design inevitably becomes more expensive than a less environmentally efficient solution, since it involves the use of high quality materials and more sophisticated technologies. But in practice, at the initial cost in the future, you can get a significant benefit from the use of techniques developed on the basis of the principles of ecological design in the design.

Environmental design can be defined as any form of design that minimizes destructive impacts on ecology by mimicking or integrating with natural ecosystems.

Environmental design is an important concept in a rapidly changing and developing world. In a green design built environment, indoor spaces are of great importance as they are the main places where people live.

Eco style in modern interior home or apartment will help create a cozy and comfortable environment. An important plus of eco-style design is the ability to find a solution for every taste, in a variety of price categories.

Features of interior design in eco-style

Color solution

The ecological orientation of the style sets, first of all, the colors used in the decoration. As a rule, these are the shades that we find in nature: sand, earth, herbal, coniferous, terracotta, blue, white.

Excluded only "acid" shades and sharp color combinations. They are out of place in such a design - after all, an eco-style interior is conducive to rest, relaxation, everything should contribute to this.

materials

An eco-style room is finished, if possible, with natural materials, as an exception, with their imitation. First of all, it is wood, stone, cork, terracotta, ceramics, glass, paper, wicker or rattan panels, mats.

  • Walls can be finished paper wallpaper with images of plant motifs, or lay out cork panels - both support the eco-style of the room, but the first option is much more budgetary. Plaster, painted or whitewashed, is also quite an environmentally friendly wall covering.
  • Ceilings are either covered with whitewash, or covered with wallpaper for painting, or trimmed with wood.
  • Floors are most often made of wood or finished with stone tiles or ceramic tiles.

Furniture

For an eco-style apartment, wooden furniture is suitable, simple in shape, rather massive, and the shape should be as natural as possible - either straight and even rough, or, on the contrary, smooth, imitating the natural curves found in nature. In the first case, the texture of the tree should be as simple as possible, its processing should be minimal. In the second, careful processing and polishing of wood is acceptable. Another suitable type of furniture is wicker items made of wicker, rattan, bamboo.

Lighting

As much as possible natural light- this is a mandatory requirement for an ecological interior. If it is not enough, it is necessary to add artificial lighting. Lamps in the design can be "invisible" - built-in, creating a luminous flux that complements the light from the windows, as well as decorative - with lampshades made of textiles, rice paper or vines, with elements in the form of tree branches or animal horns.

Eco-style: decor and interior design

Eco-style does not like piling up of objects, in this sense it is close to minimalism - after all, in nature there is nothing superfluous. Therefore, decor items "part-time" usually perform utilitarian functions. For example, wicker baskets and chests in the interior become comfortable places storage. Simple homespun rugs add exclusivity and insulate stone floors, while a bright pumpkin becomes a colorful design accent and also serves as a lampshade for a lamp.

Unusual “paintings” made of stone and wood, beautiful pebbles stacked in a glass vase, shell-designed mirror frames, river pebbles laid out in the form of a rug in the bathroom - it’s hard to even list all the possible decorative elements available in eco-style.

An excellent addition to the interior is a fireplace - both "live" and "bio", or even its imitation - logs stacked in a suitable niche.

Living greenery is another designer's "tool" with which you can enliven the simplest interior or transform ordinary room into the rainforest.

Textile design in eco-style is also distinguished by the naturalness of materials and colors. The material for furniture upholstery, sofa cushions, as a rule, is chosen rough, textured - linen, jute. Curtains on windows are often replaced with roller blinds or bamboo roller blinds.

The main rule is the observance of a sense of proportion. You can not oversaturate the interior with decor, no matter how “correct” and suitable for the occasion it may seem. Otherwise, you can get the result opposite to the expected one.

When decorating a living room in an eco-style, it is advisable to use only natural materials, if this is not possible, it is worth replacing them with imitation. Ordinary "plastic" windows do not fit into the style at all, so it is better to make the frames wooden. Budget replacement - wood-like plastic.

You can not stand the whole design in one style, from furniture to small things. To create a style, sometimes a few expressive details are enough - the main thing is that everything else does not contradict the main idea.

The most intimate room in the house belongs only to you, and its design should be such that you can relax and unwind in peace. Nothing distracting, causing tension or irritating the nervous system.

For the design of an eco-style bedroom, a few style-forming elements, as well as natural finishing materials or natural motifs in the decoration of walls and textiles. wooden bed, a wool rug underfoot, warm beige walls, light cotton curtains - the image of an eco-style bedroom is ready.

And again - natural materials in decoration, simple shapes, textile elements ... But everything is the same - character traits country style. What is the main difference? The country style allows saturation with small elements in the design - a variety of "folk" items: painted dishes, clay figurines, curtains with frills, decorative pillows, chair covers. In eco-style, such excesses are unacceptable.

In the kitchen, as in no other room at home, it is important to follow the principles of minimalism - nothing more! Do you want to emphasize the closeness to nature and make the interior truly unusual? Pick up an accent lamp, and at the same time use it as an element that separates the functional areas of the kitchen. The easiest way to add eco-elements to the finish, for example, by decorating plain walls large floral ornament or wooden saw cuts.

Kitchen furniture is preferable to simple forms; not only wood can be used as a material, but also, for example, transparent plastic - it will not “interfere” with perceiving a stylistic “image”, “dissolving” in space. Such "disappearing" furniture can be supplemented with several "heavy" items - this will balance the interior.

Minimalism, natural colors, spaciousness and lots of light – this is how an eco-style bathroom design should look like. Sometimes just choosing the right one is enough. facing material and add a color accent with bright towels - and an unforgettable look is ready.

Wood finishes in the bathroom and simple forms of sanitary ware add up to a natural eco-style. Eco-style in bathroom design allows the use of imitating materials. For example, “wood-like” porcelain stoneware tiles will look good in “wet” areas, and besides, it is much more practical than wood, even treated with special compositions. The use of ceramic tiles is also welcome, and outside the wet areas - plaster, followed by painting with moisture-resistant paints.

The bathroom is the place where one single detail can make a difference. For example, it can be a unique stone sink or a pelvis-shaped bathtub. There are also more budgetary design options - for example, a piece of floor lined with sea pebbles, which at the same time serves as a massage rug. Well, if at the same time in the bathroom - "warm" floor.

The “eco” style has long stepped over the thresholds of apartments and got out. The exterior of the house, reflecting the desire of the owner to get as close to nature as possible, is a trend of the times. And if earlier designers were content with making walls from timber or logs, or laying out their lower parts with “wild” stone, now the task is broader: they try to “fit” the house as much as possible into the surrounding landscape, which sometimes leads to very eccentric design solutions. For example, some houses literally burrow into the ground, or “hang from the branches” in an attempt to merge with nature.

Modern eco-style is not only ecological materials, it is also the possibility of their disposal, and the application of minimal harm to nature during the construction and operation process, and the creation of the most comfortable living environment for a person.

Eco-style interior photo

The photos below show eco-style in various variations for houses and premises for various purposes.

Photo 1. The combination of wood, soft natural shades of gray and white, and the inclusion of window space in the interior are the characteristic features of the eco-style of this bedroom.

Photo 2. Warm "creamy" shade of walls and floor, wooden furniture, simple forms of lamps, minimalist approach to space equipment - these features of eco-style make the atmosphere memorable and at the same time calm.

Photo 3. Eco-style in the interior of the children's room is emphasized by a wicker chair and wallpaper with natural patterns.

Photo 4. The complex "natural" forms of wood in the interior emphasize the ecological orientation of the project.

Photo 5. In the design of the living room country house several decorative eco-style elements were used at once. This is an accent stone wall near the fireplace, firewood stacked in special niches, and a window view included in the interior with the help of huge window openings.

Photo 6. wood paneling walls near the headboard, wooden bedside tables, simple natural fabrics are the basis of eco-style in the design of a small bedroom.

Photo 8. In this interior, only one element "makes" the style. wooden bars, forming " coffee table» with a bouquet of flowers make an expressive ecological composition.

Photo 9. A chandelier made of birch branches can become the only bright decorative element in interior design in eco-style.

Photo 10. Simple sofa rectangular shape in neutral upholstery against the backdrop of green walls and wooden floors, they could stand in a room of any style. An ecological orientation is given to the interior by saw cuts made of wood dining area and original flower rack.

Eco-design as a direction originates in big cities, where people who are enclosed within four walls dreamed of spending all their time in nature.

The main features of style

Signs of the Eco style are the use of natural materials and natural undyed fabrics in the interior.

The interior, made in this style, is optimally combined with wildlife. But not only natural materials are the exponents of style, but also simple clear forms, the absence of artificially created wall and ceiling decorations (stucco molding, bas-reliefs, etc.).

Materials used

  • The style denies the use of plastic furniture and synthetic fabrics. The basis of the interior should be:
  • stone;
  • tree;
  • glass;
  • clay;
  • natural fabrics.

Dominant colors

Most often, eco-interior design uses undyed fabrics, untreated Construction Materials, (such as stone), unbleached paper and herbal fibers.

Therefore, shades prevail in such interiors:

  • beige;
  • brown
  • pale green;
