This year I have grown a large crop of radishes. And now I thought about what you can cook from it besides the usual salad. I decided to look for recipes in which you can use radishes, and at the same time figure out how useful this vegetable is.

And according to the third version, it was brought from China to Venice by Marco Polo, the famous traveler. But Peter the Great brought this outlandish vegetable to us in Russia.

But do we care where this one came from useful product? The main thing is that we can now crunch with pleasure in the spring with vitamins in the form of radishes and be saturated with a huge amount of vitamins and useful elements, for which we yearned so much for a long cold winter.

We usually prepare simple salads from radishes, add various greens (you can read about the benefits of spring greens), we can cook with cucumbers or eggs, flavor with vegetable oil, mayonnaise, or, as I think, the most good option, use sour cream (it is less high-calorie and softens the sharp taste of radishes). Ingredients:

  • 3 bunches of radishes
  • 2 eggs

For sauce:

  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  1. Peel bunches of radishes from greens, rinse. Slice the radish into thin slices and place on a serving platter.
  2. Hard-boil the eggs, cut the protein into thin strips and add to the radish.
  3. Preparation of the sauce: mash the yolks with a fork, add sour milk, vegetable oil, salt, vinegar and powdered sugar. Beat the resulting mass well and pour it over the radish.
  4. Finely chop the parsley and sprinkle over the salad.

Radish cottage cheese salad "Vitamin Hill"

Ingredients:

  • 2 bunches of radishes
  • dill
  • 100 g cottage cheese
  • salt to taste
  1. Remove the tops and roots from the radish, rinse and cut into strips.

  4. Fry pancakes in vegetable oil. Drizzle with butter or sour cream.

  • 200 g cheese
  • 1 small celery root
  • sour cream or mayonnaise
  • sugar

Ingredients:

  • 200 g radishes
  • 2 eggs

  • 1 st. a spoonful of flour
  • 40 g butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • parsley
  1. Simmer the radishes until tender, about 10 minutes. Cut the carrots and send to the radish. Cook together for another 5-7 minutes.
  2. Peel and boil potatoes.
  3. Chop the onion and fry in butter.
  4. Mix all vegetables and herbs, pass through a sieve or chop with a blender.
  5. Prepare meat broth from the bones. Dilute the vegetable mass with broth and boil (you can also use vegetable broth).
  6. Fry the flour in a pan, dilute with vegetable or meat broth, warm up. Add to puree soup.
  7. Season the soup with a mixture of milk and eggs before serving and warm up.

It turns out that so many interesting and different dishes can be prepared from radishes. It is worth trying them, maybe we will like them and we will cook them often. After all, radishes are so healthy and should be cooked more often.
