How to make a winter shower outside. Do-it-yourself warm shower in the country with heating. We are building a foundation for an outdoor shower in the country

Of course, before you start building, you will have to make drawings of a warm shower in the country with your own hands in order to calculate all the materials, and in addition, the technical capabilities that you are going to endow this building with.

Indeed, often heated water occurs in such buildings only in hot weather, that is, it is heated naturally, depending on weather conditions, but it can also be forced heating.

It is about this forced method of heating water, as well as about the insulation of the architectural structure itself, that we want to tell you, as well as bring to your attention the video in this article.

Warm shower box

How to supply hot water

  • The main problem for a shower that is separate from the house is hot or at least warm water - if this can be organized in a building from a common system, then autonomy is needed here. In this case, the most convenient option is a flowing electric heater, because almost any Vacation home connected to the mains, therefore, the installation of such a device is negligible technical problem where the instructions for safety against electric shock must be observed.
  • Let's say right away that this is not any super option - to very high temperature the device does not heat the water, especially if it is cold, but, given the very specifics country shower, you will be quite enough and warm water. In most cases, even if the price of the device is high, it will not heat water above 40 ⁰C, but you are unlikely to need more.
  • Another option is an underlay. hot water from the house- pipes are laid underground and insulated, but during transportation there are too large heat losses, and if this does not bother you, then this option is better than the first one.

How to heat a shower

Of course, in the summer you will not have a question about how to heat the shower stall - it will already be warm or even hot there, but in the spring or autumn, when you plant a garden or harvest, in your soul it will most likely seem too chilly. But you can make such a box with heating and here, they are the best fit and there are good reasons for this.

Firstly, the IR panel will heat up a small room very quickly, since there is a special principle of giving off heat calories - the panel will not heat the air, but nearby objects, which will just become a source of heat.

Secondly, such devices can be installed in any place convenient for you - on the floor, on the ceiling and on the wall, and, thirdly, they can be easily turned off and removed. This very “third”, perhaps, is the dominant factor in favor of IR systems - they will not be stolen, since you will have the opportunity to bring them into the house for the winter, or even take them to the city.

Note. Infrared heaters are not only different power but also in different configurations.
That is, it can be a device in the form of a panel, but it can also be a film type - the latest models can be installed under wall and ceiling cladding.

How to keep warm in the country shower

So, we need an insulated shower in the country, that is, given that our construction will be quite simple, most likely from boards or OSB, this will not be enough to keep the cold from the street inside. Two materials are best suited as thermal insulation here - mineral wool(glass or stone (basalt), but not slag) and polystyrene (in extreme cases, extruded polystyrene foam, but it is much more expensive).

The process of laying such insulation is actually no different from installation in other rooms - all the same frame and fasteners that are most suitable for the material used.

But there is one very important nuance, which arises in connection with the specifics of the shower box - it is constantly humid there, therefore, the thermal insulation must be protected from water splashes. If you are doing installation from the side of the street, then this question disappears, as it were, by itself, but inside it is extremely important, otherwise you risk getting fungus and mold there.

Foil - excellent waterproofing

So, it is best to cover the insulation with an ordinary thick cellophane film, and then cover this entire structure with foil or any thin foil insulation, as shown in the photo above. Here you immediately, as it were, "kill two birds with one stone" - protect the insulation from moisture penetration and create an infrared reflector.

The fact is that the foil has an excellent property - it reflects infrared rays, therefore, the overexpenditure of heat calories in boxing will be minimal.

Note. It is very important that you insulate not only the walls, but also the ceiling, because according to the laws of physics, the heated air rises and if there is poor thermal insulation, then the warm air will evaporate very quickly.
The same applies to the waterproofing of the ceiling - the steam, rising up, will be reflected by the foil insulation.

Plumbing nuances

Since we are insulating the shower box on the street, it is quite natural that we will not make a drain (lattice) floor there, since cold air will flow from below and all heating will be useless. In such cases, of course, it is best to fill the floor with a concrete screed with insulation, which is most often used as an expanded clay pillow laid on a layer of sand.

That is, the screed is poured here according to all the rules - the soil is planned, then a waterproofing film is laid with a twist on the walls, then a layer of sand 2-3 cm is poured and after that - an expanded clay cushion, the thickness of which depends on the coldness of the soil, but not less than 4-5 cm.

Do not think that we made a reservation about - the film is needed here not so that water does not get into the soil, but so that the pillow is dry - thereby reducing the thermal conductivity of materials.

You will need to mount a drain on the floor and take it to the general sewer, to a septic tank, or dig a cesspool nearby, only use it exclusively for soapy water. But still, the best option there will be a septic tank - you will not only not pollute the soil, but also will not dilute the unpleasant odors that stagnant water exudes.

Conclusion

You understand that building a wooden box is easy enough, but how to make it so that you can wash in it during the cold season is a completely different question. So such a seemingly insignificant building in this case will turn out to be a capital object, but if you bring water underground, you can wash there at any time of the year.

Modern life is hard to imagine without comfort. It is for this reason that many consider a trip to the dacha to be a real "hard labor". Moreover, "hard labor" did not consist in earthworks, and in a completely different - the absence of elementary conditions. Every second one has a summer cottage where you can hide from the annoying fuss, dust and city speeds. A summer shower for a summer cottage with heating is an indispensable attribute of such housing.

Fixture Options

There are several ways to acquire such a structure as a country summer shower. You can buy ready-made or do it yourself. As a rule, under such a building as a country shower, they mean quite simple design with a barrel (plastic or metal) on the roof. Such a shower has the following disadvantages:

  • instability of water temperature;
  • the purity of the water is far from perfect;
  • water blooms quickly;
  • constant problems with replenishment of capacity.

The full structure of the country shower will allow you to comfortably take water procedures. To bring the idea to life with your own hands, you just need to look at the photos and videos with detailed instructions, purchase everything necessary materials. After reading the advice of craftsmen, and spending a little of your precious time, you can quickly and efficiently create the comfort that is so necessary.

Most prefer building a warm shower in the country. The reason for this choice is quite simple - climatic conditions cannot always guarantee hot weather. On cold days, there is no way to catch up with the water temperature to the desired temperature, but you don’t really want to swim in a cool one. This is one of the reasons why a heated summer shower is preferred.

Place for a shower in the country

In order to get a comfortable and functional design, you should pay attention to the location. For a summer shower, you should choose a place that is well protected from the wind, since on hot days there is a possibility of illness due to drafts. Also, the place should well lit by the sun.

If you decide to put a heated shower with your own hands, and the water will be heated by an electric heater, an open sunny place will only benefit. The energy of the sun in hot weather quickly heats the water and helps to retain heat at night. The construction of a summer shower should be accompanied by the arrangement of a drain pit.

Methods for forming a drain pit

One of the simplest methods, which is simple and effective in application, is drain hole under the shower. But this method is not always practical. It is much more practical to make recesses with an inclined pipe through which water is directed to the drain pit.

Before going directly drain pit, you should consider its location. This issue should be taken seriously and take into account all the nuances:

  • between the drain pit and the structure there should be a distance of five to eight meters;
  • the pipes that are used must not be too long.

Before proceeding with the construction of a drain pit, it is worth considering how much volume is needed. The volume depends on the nature of the use of housing, the frequency of use of the bath, shower and housing in general.

It is believed that 0.5 cu. m of the volume of the drain pit enough for one person.

Pipe laying

When laying pipes, do not miss important point- it is necessary to observe a slope of three to five degrees. If you follow the rule “the longer the pipe, the greater the slope” when performing work, everything will be fine.

Material for arranging a drain pit

The material for arranging the structure is very different, from brick to concrete rings.

Construction form

The most common drain pit in the shape of a cube. But this option is not entirely correct, since the walls of such a design simply cannot withstand the load and begin to collapse. Another thing is to use a drain hole cylindrical shape. The load is distributed completely throughout the structure, as a result, the destruction is zero.

Little tricks

A few little secrets and a drain hole will last for years to come.

In order to extend the cleaning period of the structure, you can apply some nuances. For example, split the plum. In this case, you get the main drain pit and another smaller one. What will it give? In one design, for example, a smaller one, liquid without solid particles will merge. This approach will make it possible to quickly absorb water into the ground, and mucus will not form on its walls.

The second option is to use bio-based products. The advantage of this tool are bacteria that are able to process waste. The result is that water seeps into the ground faster and easier.

We must not forget about drainage and septic. Their location should be located next to the drain pit, because if water gets on them, it will lead to the appearance of:

  • bad smell;
  • soil destruction;
  • can lead to destruction of the foundation.

To avoid problems with the drain, the design is better put on high.

Before you start building a shower with your own hands, you should familiarize yourself with the heating options. In conventional buildings, as a rule, tubular electric heaters are used. There is only one minus of such heaters - it is necessary to constantly monitor the heating process. When the water in the shower reaches a certain temperature, the electric heater must be turned off.

Heating Options

You can install the electric heater yourself. If there are suspicions that you cannot cope with this procedure, it is better to buy a ready-made tank with a built-in heater.

The choice of the tank takes into account the required volume of water. Today, you can buy tanks of various shapes equipped with everything you need. In such a tank there is a temperature control and an independent shutdown.

There are tanks that are fully automated, have a control panel. Thanks to such innovations, it is easy to control the process of heating water. These tanks are also equipped with an emergency thermal switch.

If we talk about the advantages of tanks made of metal and plastic, then the latter have more positive properties:

  • water in plastic tanks does not bloom;
  • seams do not rust;
  • the properties of water do not change.

Using titanium is another option for a heated garden shower. Titanium is a kind of metal structure, which has, as an addition, a lower structure. It is used exclusively for kindling, due to which, in the upper part, the water is heated. In order to get water of the desired temperature, you should have another tank in which there will be cold water. After mixing hot and cold water, a liquid is obtained desired temperature. An indisputable plus is that not only water is heated, but also the room itself.

This heating model is more suitable for capital dacha buildings, since an additional chimney and ventilation is required.

There is a very convenient and cheap option, this is a shower bag. A portable shower does not require separate buildings. It can be hung in any convenient location. Water is poured directly into the bag (about 20 liters). Such a portable device can also be equipped with a water heater, a pump.

We design a summer shower correctly

Before you start building a summer shower for a summer residence, it is worth developing a project that will allow you to avoid global mistakes. It is not difficult to make a project, the main thing is to present the final result and build on it. The height of the future structure must not exceed three meters, since the person must freely raise their hands up. Don't forget about space. While in the shower, there should be no restriction in movement. When building a soul, adhere to the following parameters:

  • the booth must be at least 1X1 m;
  • it is important not to forget about the allocation of space for clothes.

During the construction process, it must be taken into account that insufficient space can lead to the destruction of the structure. In order to slightly strengthen the structure, to give it reliability and durability, use pile foundation.

Pile foundations have proven themselves well and are widely used in construction. Modern pile foundation quite in demand, because in terms of price it is much cheaper than its "brothers", and the quality is just as good.

To establish such a foundation, use metal pipes 100 mm in diameter. For pipes, holes must be drilled in the ground. Pipes should protrude 15–30 centimeters above ground level.

Do-it-yourself frame for a summer shower

Any material is suitable for construction - wood, slate, film and others. After installing the frame, the holes are best concreted. The frame must be quite strong, as a water tank will be installed.

Floor, pallet for construction

The floor in the shower can be done in different ways. If the choice fell on the boards, they should be laid, leaving holes into which water will drain. But the disadvantage of this floor is that cold air enters thus creating discomfort. It is for this reason that pallets are often used on top of the existing floor.

Between the pallet and the floor, as a rule, waterproofing is performed; for this, a material such as roofing material is used.

Water tanks

Tanks can be plastic, steel, stainless steel. The basic principle of operation for a heated summer shower is an electrical connection and an automated heating system. The principle is this - when the water cools, the mechanism instantly works, and the water again gains the desired temperature.

If wiring is provided in the shower cabin, in the country, do not forget about the elementary rules of electrical installation. The shower is a place where humidity is increased, so you need to take into account all the nuances:

In order to extend the life of the heater, it is worth clearly monitor the water level. If the heater is turned on without water, it will overheat and it may explode. Repair of such products is not provided.

Heating water in the shower is a necessity for creating comfortable conditions during water procedures in the country. Warm water in the shower is truly a godsend for avid gardeners.

Progress is moving forward and by now the very idea of creating a summer shower for a heated summer house does not look intimidating. After all, water in the country is a vital necessity - this statement is an undeniable truth for the vast majority of owners of summer cottages.

Until recently with hot water everything was far from being as life-affirming as with the cold, and many summer residents were forced to consider it almost a kind of luxury that only the elite are allowed to do. Although many were not going to put up with such a situation and literally on their knees came up with various ways to heat water with the least effort.

The problem is rather in the choice suitable option soul. Moreover, the variety of summer residence options also dictates its own laws. For owners of land with little garden house summer type, who come mainly to cultivate the land and care for the garden, the presence, for example, of a wood-fired column will become a meaningless luxury. For them, a heated country shower may well look like a compact portable suitcase. The choice of this kind of model will not present difficulties, they are widely represented on sale. And the water for them, if desired, can be heated with the most ordinary boiler.

The one for whom the dacha is a place where he spends almost half of his time with pleasure, is unlikely to be satisfied with a water heater in the form of a boiler. He will want more coziness and comfort, and the question - how to make a shower in the country - will rise in all its acuteness.

There are a great many options for arranging a shower with heated water in the country. Listed below are all the main types that exist today.

Compact options

It makes sense to start the review with the simplest options, moving gradually to more complex ones.

The most primitive type of summer shower is the so-called mobile shower. It is a small container of no more than 20 liters, made of durable flexible plastic. Attached to it is a hose with a shower head. Water of the required temperature is poured into the container. If you pour water in the morning, then by lunchtime it will already warm up to a comfortable heat. It is enough just to hang the container just above the head and open the valve so that water flows from the watering can. You can take a shower in any place where it is possible to attach a container.

A fairly popular model is a shower for a summer residence, which does not even require an electrical connection for its operation. Only a bucket with a volume of 10 liters is enough. The device itself is a mat, which is also a foot pump. One hose from it descends into a container of water, and at the end of the other there is a watering can. If you stomp evenly on the rug, then the long-awaited water will pour out of the watering can. You can wash both on the lawn and in the basin in the house. To get warm water, you can use any electric heater or, more simply, a boiler.

More advanced models are usually equipped with electric pumps so that you do not have to bother yourself with unnecessary physical exercises. Similar portable shower models also fit in any container of water. As a rule, they are able to raise water to a height of two or more meters, which is quite enough for a comfortable bath.

The most multifunctional models of this type also include an electric heater. They operate on the same principle - the device is placed in a tank of water, the cord is plugged into an outlet, and after 10-20 minutes, when the indicator shows readiness (that is, the water temperature rises to about + 45 ° C), you can take a warm shower. Such a water heater for giving with a shower is indispensable when cool rainy weather sets in in the summer.

Portable options

Usually, even when using the simplest mobile devices, it is more comfortable for people to take a shower in a place closed from prying eyes. Therefore, you should immediately consider the design of the so-called garden showers.

The shower cabin for giving in these cases is a frame made of light plastic pipes covered with any opaque material. It can be either a film or a colored tarpaulin or plastic. On the ground, such structures are most often fixed on reinforcement pins driven into the ground. If such a shower is transferred every week - two to a new place, then you don’t even need to take care of the drain - the ecology of the site is unlikely to suffer. You can use any of the above portable designs in it, and water is heated either with the help of the sun, or in bad weather, any electric heating element is used.

In principle, when installing a septic tank or building cesspool nothing stands in the way of installing a garden shower on permanent place. In this case, it is possible to use one of the portable water heater models to heat water.

Stationary structures

Among such structures, the choice is also quite diverse. They may vary:

  • By location - attached to the house or freestanding.
  • According to the method of heating water - using an electric heating element, using solar energy, using a wood-burning stove.
  • According to the material for the manufacture of the frame and sheathing for a country shower.
  • Finally, they can be summer and winter. Indeed, in the end, it became fashionable to spend time in the country in the winter, and the bathhouse is too global a structure and it is inconvenient to use it every day. Hygiene procedures it is highly desirable to carry out daily. Therefore, a winter shower in the country is becoming more and more popular every year.

In the latter case, it is not necessary to arrange an outdoor shower. You can allocate a small place in the house for a shower device, especially if you can connect it to existing system water supply.

What is a country shower

If we keep in mind a more or less reliable design that can be used, if desired, not only in warm summer time, but also in spring, autumn and even winter, then the main components of the soul are:

  • Foundation or foundation.
  • Drain and shovel.
  • Cabin consisting of frame, floor, pallet and cladding.
  • Container for water.
  • Shower water heater.

Country chores certainly require the constant availability of water. This is watering the garden, and a shower after work. What if the house...

Strong base

It is possible to install a shower for a summer house with heating without a foundation only in the case of the aforementioned lightweight portable design or the use of special modular shower cabins. They are installed directly on the ground, and special adjustable legs make it possible to compensate, if necessary, for all possible soil movements. But such structures are very expensive, and it is quite possible to build a stationary one, using 2-4 times less money to purchase the necessary component materials.

Whatever it is, it still weighs a little. Therefore, the foundation for it is usually used columnar. As pillars, you can use either foundation blocks raised above the ground at a height of 20 to 30 cm, or pieces of asbestos-cement pipes, 80 to 150 cm long. It is better to hammer them to a depth slightly exceeding the layer of annual soil freezing. You can also make the pillars yourself by pouring pre-constructed formwork with concrete.

drain hole

The easiest and at the same time expensive way to arrange a safe and reliable drain for an outdoor shower is to use a septic tank with regular replacement of its filler. But it is more reasonable to arrange a drain hole.

Moreover, for reasons of ecology and safety for health, it is better to arrange it a few meters from the intended location of the shower.

The size of the drain pit can vary from 1 to 2 cubic meters. In any case, in comparison with the water tank, the volume of the drain pit should be twice its size. For a drainage device, the best option would be to fill it with expanded clay or broken bricks.

shower shelter

The construction of a shower cabin in the country is perhaps the most creative part of the whole process. After all, all this prose of life in the form of heating elements, tanks, wood-burning columns and other things does not allow fantasy to roam. While, making out a booth, you can safely implement your most daring design ideas.

The frame itself can be metal, plastic or wood. You can choose from what is at hand or from what the mind and soul are inclined to. It is only necessary to remember that all wooden parts must be carefully treated with any rot biocide and varnished before installation.

When choosing the height of the frame, one should proceed from the fact that in the shower it’s good to sometimes raise your hands and wash your hair comfortably. On average, it can be 2.2-2.5 meters. The dimensions of the building itself are determined only by the future users of the shower. Usually it consists of two parts: the shower cabin itself and a small room in which a dressing room is arranged, and sometimes a water heater (wood or electric) is placed. If we talk about the minimum dimensions, then they can be about 100 by 190 cm.

The following materials are most often used for sheathing:

  • Film, oilcloth or even an advertising banner.
  • Any fabric with impregnation.
  • Wood: lining, boards, slats, wicker rods.
  • Polycarbonate of any shades, it is better to use opaque.
  • Polymer slate and any plastic sheets.
  • Profiled sheet - especially if there are trimmings left from the roofing or fence construction.

A conventional plank shower floor is only suitable for areas with sandy soil and when using the shower only in warm weather. Otherwise, there will be a noticeable blow from below. In other cases, the use of a pallet is necessary. It can be bought ready-made and connected through a siphon with a flexible hose to a pipe that will go to the main drain pit. Or you can make it yourself out of concrete with a small drain hole.

water tank

The volume of the tank is chosen based on the number of people who will use the shower regularly. For one person, an average of about 50 liters of water is enough.

Shower tanks are plastic and metal. The latter are better heated from the sun, but with a do-it-yourself water heating device, this item is not so significant. But plastic tanks have many other advantages: they do not react with water, they are not able to rust. They have little weight. Often they are sold square shape, which allows, when placed on the roof, to save on covering the upper part of the shower. After all, shower tanks are most often placed on top, on the shower, in order to be able to heat up the water inside them additionally from solar heat.

If you do not know how to choose a suitable shower tank, then it makes sense to look at models with a built-in heating element- tenom. They are called so - water tanks with heated water and are, in fact, ordinary boilers. The heating temperature in them is set by a thermostat, and with the help of a thermostat, the heating is turned off if necessary. True, in this case, in addition to connecting the shower to electricity and plumbing, it is necessary to use an automatic control system for filling the tank with water.

The water we drink or use for domestic needs should be clean. This is not a whim, but a vital necessity. From…

Various types of water heaters

When building a warm shower for a house and a summer residence, it is difficult to do without a water heater in our climatic conditions. There are the following types of these useful constructs:

  • Flowing electric.
  • Bulk and storage electric.
  • Wood-burning, in the form of a stove or column.

An electric instantaneous water heater is commonly used in summer cottages where there is access to the central water supply. It mounts easily to any vertical surface and is able to quickly provide even a hot shower in the country under the most adverse weather conditions. minus instantaneous water heaters for a summer residence is a rather large load on the power grid.

A storage water heater consumes electricity much more economically, but heating water for a shower occurs much more slowly with its help. Most models are equipped with a thermostat that allows you to set the desired temperature.

A bulk water heater is ideal for summer cottages where there is no central water supply. Based on the name, water can be poured into it either manually or using a pump, which is preferable. In most cases, a bulk heater for a summer residence is equipped with a heating element - a tubular electric heater. And having the design of a thermos, it allows you to keep the dialed temperature for quite a long time.

In case you do not want to mess with electricity, then there is a great alternative to heat water in the country using a wood-burning stove.

Of course, this is not an ordinary stove, but a wood-fired column. This design is also sometimes called titanium. A wood-burning water heater can also be connected to the local water supply, but it can be used in conjunction with a tank installed on the shower roof.

If such a heating mechanism is installed indoors next to the shower cabin, then with appropriate insulation, it can play the role of a heater. In this case, with a not too large heating area, the shower can be used even in winter time. More best idea will install a wood-burning water heater along with a shower in an annex to the house. In this case, the area of the heated territory will even expand, and after a warm shower you will not have to go out into the frosty street.

Of course, it is difficult to do without heating the water in the shower in the country. Yes, this is not necessary, given the variety of choice of devices focused on solving this problem. After all, staying in the country should bring only joy and satisfaction.

Hooray! To the cottage. Dacha is a great way to take a break from office routine or hard work in production. At the cottage, you can perfectly relax with friends, barbecue and cognac, or work on the site.

But in any case, after working in the garden or relaxing with your best friends, you need to clean yourself up in the shower. Not every summer resident has an estate equipped in the same way as a city apartment. But organizing a warm shower in the country is easy and simple.

What is needed for this? The answer to this question is different for everyone. Someone chooses homemade design, someone will purchase a ready-made heated one, especially since the assortment is presented very widely.

If you decide to make amenities with your own hands, then first of all study your site. Evaluate his winning and losing zones. The shower room should be located near the house in order to wash and immediately be warm. You also need to take care of the drain. And of course, you need to choose exactly the area where the shower cabin fits well and harmoniously into the landscape.

In addition to choosing a place to build a shower, you should choose a water heater for a shower in the country. Water can be heated by the sun or by electricity.

To do this, choose a black water tank, or paint metal barrel in black. It heats up the water faster. A tank is installed on the shower cabin and a shower head is welded from below. You can make such a garden warm shower with your own hands. The big drawback is that it will only work on hot sunny days.

In this case, the water for a country shower can be heated using sun rays. For this, a solar storage water heater was created. In these devices, water is heated, thanks to vacuum tubes. The water here is heated at any air temperature. In winter, such a device heats water up to 60-70 degrees, and in summer you can get boiling water. The device works perfectly even in cloudy weather, since the work depends on the ultraviolet solar radiation.

When installing electric water heater, you need to make sure the quality of the wiring. If you do not have a central water supply in your country house, and the supply of water is limited or it has to be delivered, then you need a bulk heater. Typically, such heaters are equipped with a 50-100 l tank, a heating element, protection and a thermostat. Water is supplied by buckets or a pump.

Which method of heating to use depends on your capabilities. Today, many companies offer a heated country shower, like turnkey solution. Such complexes are equipped with a cabin, a tank, an electric heater.

And if you like to do everything yourself, then a heated garden shower will be an exciting adventure for you. To do this, you need to choose a place for a country shower, put metal carcass and hang wall-curtains on all sides, and install a heated tank on top.

There are metal and plastic in the country shower. The advantage of plastic ones is that the water does not bloom in them, the welds do not rust, which means that the water in them remains clean, without impurities. The volume of tanks can be from 100 to 320 liters, both classic round and square.

A shower is simply necessary in the country, without it in any way. Especially if you get wet on shock work, or just warmed up in the sun. Vodichka will invigorate and refresh, and give strength for further achievements.

An important condition is that the barrel is flat and black

I think the ideal option is a flat container, which is painted black. If possible, then best solution there will be a purchase of a ready-made form for the shower. Now they are available and available everywhere.

Summer residents in general are extremely smart people and prone to engineering experiments. Apparently, this is the only way to get high yields and ennoble your land. Over the years of dacha experimentation, people have invented many ways to get warm water at a minimum cost.

We take warm water from the top of the tank

The easiest method to use for heating water is to take it from the top of the tank, where it warms itself up the fastest. Traditional tanks have a significant drawback in that the coldest water pours from the horn from below, and warm water from above simply does not have time to reach.

There are, of course, craftsmen who make flat tanks at the top, this solves the problem. But if the barrel is high, then a float and a hose will help. See drawing diagram.

Such is the solution. You will need a hose with a length of one and a half to two meters. Yes, foam and a weight for a float. We insert a hose into the pipe that goes to the shower horn, attach the other end of the hose to a foam float, or some other floating material.

So we will always have the warmest water in the shower. Well, so that the hose does not have enough air, hang a weight that will keep the float with the hose in the water, immersed at some distance from the surface.

It's simple and at the same time effective method always use warm water. On hot summer days, the water will always be hot. Sometimes even too much

Versions with drawings

Examples of heating a country shower

The figure on the left shows an example of heating a country shower using a float. Warm water is taken from above, cold water is not taken. The simplest convector is shown on the right, which allows you to heat the water in the tank.

The pipe is brought to the sunny side, takes water from below, warms it up and brings it up according to the principle of heat up, cold down. Thus, the tank warms up better, but it is optimal to add the first drawing to this scheme, so that the water intake also comes from above.

The middle drawing shows an example of saving water, you press the pedal with your foot and the water goes. It is necessary to lather the body - depress the pedal and save warm water.

Practical warm solution - flat tank

Since we are talking about heating the water column, the most reasonable solution, at the stage of building a shower, is to immediately install a flat tank. Such that the water has the largest possible spreading area, and, accordingly, heating from the sun.

If the water in the tank seems too hot to you, then you can separately install a container with cool water in the shady part of the shower. By bringing two nozzles to the horn, you can adjust the temperature for yourself and even take a shower on a hot afternoon comfortable temperature without getting burned, but not freezing either.

Heating water with a heating element or boiler

The next option will be for those cases when the water cannot warm up enough. Because of the sun, or because of the chill of the night. After all, in May the nights are still quite cold, and in August-September they are already cold. In fact, we can only take a shower in the country without discomfort in June-July.

To solve the problem of cool water, the simplest thing is to heat upper layer boiler. Of course, for this you must have electricity in your country house. Place a board-rail on top of the barrel, hang a boiler on a rope from it.

Water heats up in about an hour and a half, but this depends primarily on the volume of the tank and on the ambient temperature. The boiler is able to heat only the upper layer of water, to the level of its immersion. But we don’t need more, since we have already installed the float with the hose!

It will be optimal to use a kilowatt boiler. It is able to warm up about 20 centimeters of the depth of the tank.

For washing two people, this volume of heated water will be enough. Most importantly, do not forget to unplug the boiler from the outlet while taking a shower! Precautions must be followed strictly. Is there a little…

Electric heater with a thermostat for a shower in the country

I reviewed the most simple options shower heaters, such that a woman can use without male help. Men, I know, make built-in heating elements, and they install relays so that the water warms up to a certain temperature. But these are already more complex structures.
