I started building stairs in my house without suspecting that carpenters have a whole theory dedicated to this matter. Such a long span would have to be stretched across the entire first floor and at the same time lay one of the windows.
I had to calculate everything from the possible dimensions, and here, too, there was a difficulty: the staircase was planned not to be straight, but with two 45 ° turns. The walls of the flight of stairs were measured. From the lengths of the walls, the length of the stairs along the midline was calculated. Further, the calculation was based on the fact that in the middle of the flight of stairs the step of the steps would be the same. In the calculation, this step turned out to be quite small, with a step height of 17 cm, only 22 cm. To increase the step area, they were made with an overhang of 2-3 cm.
