How to improve blood folk remedies. Food for the blood. How to quickly raise hemoglobin before donating blood: urgent measures

How to improve the composition of your own blood without resorting to such radical methods as plasmapheresis and transfusion? The following products will help:
Swede
An undeservedly forgotten food and medicinal plant. Rutabaga is unpretentious, it can be grown everywhere. Contains up to 10% sugars, 2% protein, vitamins C, B2, B2, pectin, serves as a good source of iron for the body. Rutabaga juice has expectorant properties. It is used for iron deficiency anemia.
Grape
Contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, vitamins C, PP, P, B1, B6, B12, folic acid, carotene. Grapes are rich in carbohydrates (18-20%), sugars, organic acids (malic, salicylic, citric, succinic, formic, etc.). Juice and berries of grapes are used for general loss of strength, "pale sickness", anemia. Take 3 times a day before meals from 0.5 to 1 kg (daily dose). Children should drink 1/2-1 glass of juice depending on age.
Contraindications: do not drink in large quantities with a tendency to diarrhea, diabetes, obesity, ulcers, chronic processes in the lungs.
Cherry
Contains fructose and glucose, vitamins C, PP, B1, carotene, folic acid, organic acids, copper, potassium, magnesium, iron, pectins.
Melon
Rich in sugars (up to 13%), vitamins C, PP, carotene, folic acid, as well as iron and fiber. It is also useful in diseases of the blood, kidneys and cardiovascular system.
Gooseberry
Contains sugars (up to 14%), organic acids, pectins, tannins, copper, iron, phosphorus, vitamins B, C, P, carotene. It has a beneficial effect on metabolism, is a good diuretic, laxative, helps with iron deficiency anemia.
It should not be taken with sugar, a lot, and after the gooseberries have been cooked. Can be fresh, fresh-frozen and no more than 50-100 g per day.
Honey
Especially useful buckwheat honey. It should be taken for therapeutic purposes within 2 months. Improves blood composition, headache, dizziness, fatigue disappear, well-being increases. The dose is individual (from 50 to 100 g per day).
Honey added to sour milk is a good remedy in the treatment of anemia. For 1 cup of sour milk, put 1 tablespoon of honey, take 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup in the evening.
Almond
Sweet almonds mixed with fruit sugar are used for anemia, as well as for coughs, asthma, and headaches.
carrot juice
A unique tool that helps bring the whole body back to normal. It is the richest source of vitamin A, which the body absorbs quickly. The juice contains a large amount of vitamins B, C, D and E. Carrot juice improves appetite, digestion and tooth structure.
Every morning on an empty stomach eat 100 g of grated carrots with sour cream or vegetable oil, or juice 1/4 cup 4-5 times a day, mixed with honey. Depending on the condition of the person, raw carrot juice can be drunk from 0.5 to 3-4 liters per day. It is used for anemia, beriberi and general loss of strength.
nuts
Ripe walnut fruits are used as a multivitamin remedy. With anemia, take peeled hazelnuts with honey. A mixture of nuts and honey is very difficult to digest by the body, requires a lot of work from the pancreas, liver and kidneys, so as soon as the hemoglobin level in the blood is restored to normal, nuts and honey should be diluted at different times of intake.
pollen
Increases the content of hemoglobin and erythrocytes in the blood with anemia. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day before meals with water. Can be mixed with honey (1:1 or 1:2).
beet juice
The most valuable juice for the formation of red blood cells and for improving blood in general. A mixture of carrot and beet juice is the best natural hematopoietic drug, especially for replenishing red blood cells. It stimulates the formation of red blood cells, improves memory, especially in atherosclerosis, and dilates blood vessels. With hypertension, anemia, with neurosis and insomnia, it is indispensable.
It is better to leave the juice for several hours in the refrigerator, remove the foam and use it mixed with carrot juice in a ratio of 1:4.
celery juice
A mixture of celery juice with other juices is very useful and gives an almost phenomenal result in case of beriberi and other ailments.
Juice improves tone, improves appetite, has a diuretic and laxative effect. It is better to drink it to obese people with metabolic disorders and fatigue.
Juice contains vitamins C, B1, B12, PP. For prevention, 1-2 teaspoons of juice are usually enough 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals, up to 100 ml per day in total. Such combinations are popular: carrots, beets, celery (8:3:5); carrots, cabbage, celery (1:4:5); carrots, celery, radish (8:5:3).
Black currant
Blackcurrant berries are taken as a multivitamin remedy for anemia, hypo- and beriberi, cough.
Rosehip May
It cleanses the circulatory system, improves metabolism, is rich in vitamins, is used for anemia, scurvy, as a tonic: pour 5 tablespoons of crushed fruits into 1 liter of water, boil for 10 minutes, wrap up overnight. Drink like tea at any time of the day.
Apples
They contain vitamins C, B1, B2, P, E, carotene, potassium, iron, manganese, calcium, pectins, sugars, organic acids.
The fruits of apples are used for beriberi, lowering the level of vitamin C, anemia. From the juice of sour apples (by adding 2 parts of iron per 100 parts of juice) an extract of iron malate is obtained, which is used for anemia.
In the old days, anemia was treated like this: they took an Antonov apple (any sour one is possible), inserted two or three new nails into it, perpendicular to each other for 12 hours, then the nails were pulled out and the apple was eaten.

Improving the composition and quality of blood

Blood is an extracellular fluid, a saline solution. It is not a secret for anyone that it is the main living environment, on the quality of which all the processes occurring in our organs and cells depend.

The blood pumped by the heart flows inside the body at a speed of 11 m/s, i.e. 40 km/h. The blood flow is a continuous stream with a density of 1.06 g/cm3. It flows through the network blood vessels, which includes large veins and arteries, branching many times and gradually decreasing to the size of tiny capillaries. Various substances easily seep through the thinnest walls of the capillaries, which is why a continuous exchange occurs in living tissues: the blood gives the cells of the body life-supporting substances and washes away decay products.

As it enters all parts of the body, blood performs various important functions:

nutritional function . Blood carries oxygen (O2) and various nutrients, gives them to tissue cells and takes away carbon dioxide (CO2) and other decay products for their removal from the body.

transport function - transfer various substances: oxygen and carbon dioxide, nutrients, mediators, enzymes, electrolytes. The excretory function of blood is the transfer of metabolic end products - urea, uric acid, excess water, organic and mineral substances to the organs of their excretion (kidneys, sweat glands, lungs, intestines). The release from the body of metabolites that have served their time or are currently in excess of substances is also associated with transport. . The blood carries the peptides, ions and hormones produced by the endocrine glands to the corresponding organs, thus transmitting "molecular information" from one zone to another.

Ability to stop bleeding. When vascular bleeding occurs, the blood sends numerous leukocytes to this place, causes plasma to leave the vessels, or concentrates platelets - platelets - in places of blood loss.

Thermoregulatory function. The blood is a heating system that distributes heat throughout the body.

Protective function . Blood, transporting leukocytes and antibodies that protect the body from pathogenic microorganisms, is involved in the implementation of immunity.

pH regulator function. Blood prevents changes in the acidity of the internal environment (7.35-7.45) with the help of substances such as proteins and mineral salts.

It has been established that a certain range of blood pH fluctuations corresponds to the state of the norm - from 7.37 to 7.45 with an average value of 7.40, as we see, the blood is alkaline.

Solutions and liquids with respect to their acidity are considered:

  • neutral at pH = 7
  • acidic at pH< 7
  • alkaline at pH > 7

When shifted to the acid side, a condition called acidosis occurs, and to the alkaline side - alkalosis. A change in blood acidity above 7.8 pH or below 6.8 pH is incompatible with life.

Blood is a suspension of cells in a liquid medium; therefore, its acid-base balance is maintained by the joint participation of plasma buffer systems and blood cells. The most important buffer systems blood are bicarbonate, phosphate, protein and the most powerful hemoglobin.

The total amount of blood in the body of an adult is on average 6 - 8% of body weight, which corresponds to 5 to 6 liters of blood, and in a woman - from 4 to 5. Every day this amount of blood passes through the heart more than 1000 times.

But the blood does not fill the circulatory system to the brim, but with more or less constancy is only in some part of the body, leaving a significant proportion of the vascular system empty. The length of the human circulatory system can reach up to 100,000 kilometers, and 200,000 liters are required to fill it, i.e. 2 liters of blood per kilometer, while our body has only 5-7 liters. Roughly speaking, the human circulatory system is filled to 1/40,000 of its potential volume. (A. Carrel)

An increase in total blood volume is called hypervolemia, a decrease is called hypovolemia.

Normal blood revitalizes lymphatic cells capable of destroying tumor cells. There are many lymphatic cells in the human body (eg NK cells, LAK cells). Their uniqueness lies in the fact that they are able to distinguish normal cells from diseased and affected ones, and destroy the latter. This is the function of the immune system of the human body. The most great activity lymphatic cells to destroy diseased cells is manifested at a pH of 7.4. However, usually around the affected cells, there is a more acidic environment that prevents the activity of lymphocytes, which work best at a slightly alkaline pH. By eating foods that have an alkalizing effect, you can adjust the pH balance within 0.5 units, creating a favorable environment for the action of lymphocytes and the destruction of damaged or abnormally built cells.

Cancer tissue is more acidic than normal tissue, and the body protects it with a fibrous sheath that has an alkaline pH. If you continue to use an acidic diet, the membrane dissolves and the cancer cells are released.

The insidiousness of an oncological cell is that for the immune system (this is the security system of our body), this cell is its own, the same as all other cells. An organism that is able to successfully fight off the invasion of all kinds of bacteria and viruses with the help of immunity often turns out to be helpless in front of an oncological cell. True, there are also T-lymphocytes in the body, they are also called T-killers (a kind of body police), capable of early stages deal with the cancer cell. These are strong cells. But the oncological cell can deceive them by releasing a special toxin into the environment that disrupts the normal acidity (pH) for T-killers and thereby keeps them away.

For normal metabolism, it is necessary that acid-base balance in the blood was maintained within certain limits.

Signs of a violation of the quality and composition of the blood are: fatigue, drowsiness, memory impairment, decreased immunity, physical weakness, decreased mental activity, insomnia, irritability, depressive states, headaches, various diseases of the internal organs, with enzyme activity decreases, the likelihood of reproduction increases cancer cells due to an increase in the amount of fungal flora, there is tension in the neck and shoulder muscles, bitterness in the mouth, a gray coating on the tongue, flushes to the face, dark circles under the eyes, etc. And most importantly, during such a period, cooling and colds are dangerous, because. the body is not able to suppress either infection or viruses.

Causes of changes in the composition and quality of blood:

1. Insufficient intake or poor digestibility.

2. Eating a lot of sugars and simple carbohydrates.

3. Lack of organic acids and alkaline trace elements.

4. Enzymatic deficiency.

5. Excessive blood-destroying function of the spleen.

6. Harmful effects of radiation.

7. Dehydration of the body in a very hot climate, or very high physical exertion.

8. Highlands.

9. Poor water quality.

10. Oxygen starvation of the body.

11. Stress

You can find out the amount of extracellular fluid (blood, lymph) and choose an individual system of exposure (nutrition, drinking regimen, etc.) with an affordable and inexpensive examination - Diagnosis of human body composition (Bioimpedancemetry).

Seeing the quality of blood with your own eyes has become possible thanks to a diagnostic called Hemoscanning of a blood drop. This is the study of a living drop of blood under high magnification. We see on the monitor screen a breathtaking film about the life of each cell in the drop under study. Thanks to the Hemoscanning method, one can judge the activity of the immune system and the body's ability to self-heal, the functioning of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, the presence of fungi, helminth larvae, disturbances in the intestinal flora, acidification of the body. Diagnostics was created in order to find the causes and prevent the development ailment. Wise Nature has created our body - as a complex computer, programmed for a very long life. And this computer is able to cope with any problems. All that is necessary for him to heal is to turn on the purification system, properly feed, drink and provide oxygen. And this method gives a hint where to start.

Separately located rounded red blood cells of different sizes indicate a lack of B vitamins in the body, folic acid and iron. The presence of erythrocytes with "bitten" edges in the blood indicates a large number of free radicals. A large number of destroyed red blood cells leads to the development of various pathologies, including oncological diseases. The accumulation of platelets in large groups indicates a predisposition to thrombosis. The presence in the blood plasma of various inclusions: cholesterol crystals, salts of uric and phosphoric acids; bacteria, larvae, fungi and their spores; rapidly falling fibrinogen spicules is an indication of a predisposition to the development of the disease.

Early loss of fibrinogen spicules indicates signs of liver stress or overwork. Cholesterol crystals form when there is too much cholesterol in the blood and the body is unable to fully utilize it. This can lead to the development of cardiovascular disease. Salts of uric acid indicate a violation of the filtering ability of the kidneys, a predisposition to the formation of sand, urolithiasis, gout. Orthophosphoric acid salts indicate a pronounced violation of phosphorus-calcium metabolism, calcium deficiency in the body, which again is a prerequisite for the development of various pathologies. I have already said that blood cells need a pH of 7.43 units, in such an environment blood cells feel comfortable, and various bacteria, fungi, viruses, worm larvae, on the contrary, do not like this environment.

This method is a good helper when choosing health improvement programs and for evaluating the results of ongoing treatment.

The described diagnostic services can be found in your city, the main thing is that Bioimpedancemetry does not determine the total amount of water in the body, but measures its three types: intracellular, extracellular and fluids that are in the body in a bound state. You can always clarify this point. Because the total amount of water in the body (and most of these diagnostics measure precisely this indicator) provides little information and cannot be used to properly formulate a diet and drinking regimen.

Blood is more than 90% water, water is absorbed by the large intestine. Water, along with the bloodstream, delivers nutrients and oxygen to cells, acts like a solvent, thinning the blood and helping beneficial substances better absorbed.

When we consume dirty, chlorinated, highly mineralized, destructured, sweet carbonated water with a high surface tension, the body is forced to spend a lot of cellular energy on its transformation.

The use of a large amount of sugars and simple carbohydrates turns the blood into a kind of sugar syrup. The violation of the quality and composition of the blood, first of all, leads to the predominance in the diet of such products as sugar, sweets, flour products, dairy products; cereals and meat food in large quantities. The second factor is the consumption of incompatible foods, such as proteins with carbohydrates. Many preservatives are also oxidizing agents. nutritional supplements, which are so rich in modern products, especially with a long shelf life, alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea, chocolate, tobacco.

Another factor that worsens the composition and quality of blood is insufficient consumption of vegetables and fruits.. A good medicine for the blood is a large salad of raw vegetables eaten daily for lunch and a small amount of greens and vegetables for dinner. For every 70-80 g of meat, fish or cereal products, there should be about 100 g of vegetables and herbs.

Daily diet healthy person should include at least 75-85% of plant products, and in the diet of a person suffering from any disease, their share should be increased to 90%.

Vegetables and fruits. And in that order, and not vice versa.. Since fruits contain a large amount of fructose, and it, in turn, is not stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen, therefore, it cannot go to the energy needs of the body and turns into fat very quickly. Therefore, if your goal is a slender body, then the amount of fruit should be limited to 300-400 grams (for professional athletes, this value is calculated individually for different types sports and is much larger, on average 800-1000 g).

Potassium, contained in potatoes, basil, dried apricots, and many other vegetables and fruits, creates favorable conditions for the absorption of nutrients and medicines supporting intracellular mechanisms.

The most useful alkalizing products are boiled beets, lemon, grapefruit, dried apricots, melons, watermelons. Vegetable or fruit juices can be added to the diet in between meals, as a snack. 200 g of fruits or vegetables can be replaced with 1 glass of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable (carrot, celery) juice, respectively.

Your menu must include lemon, grapefruit, orange, berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, lingonberries, cranberries), pickled vegetables, grated beets and carrots, finely chopped cabbage, parsley, dill, celery (root, stems and leaves), onions and garlic, figs, pomegranate, sea buckthorn, prunes, apples, jacket potatoes, watermelon, melon, apricots, peaches and also dandelion leaves, buckwheat, blackcurrant seeds, chestnut,sunflower and pumpkin seeds, leafy greens, raw nuts, ginger, artichoke,willow bark - natural aspirin (as prescribed by a specialist), mulberry (mulberry), ginkgo biloba, burdock root (Latin name - Burdock), lecithin.

It would seem that I am talking about alkalizing foods, but I call a lemon? But lemon, although sour in taste, contains a huge amount of alkaline elements and up to 8% organic acids (mainly citric). Therefore, by right, we use it as an alkalizing substance in relation to the blood, although it has a sour taste. Citric acid is found in small amounts in the mitochondria of all cells and is the most essential organic acid.

According to the content of citric acid to improve blood quality, citrus fruits can be placed in descending order as follows: lemons, grapefruits, oranges, and tangerines already contain a small amount of citric acid. Citric acid is also found in cranberries, lingonberries, Chinese magnolia vine, needles, shag stalks. Juice of one lemon per half cup hot water will help get rid of sand and kidney stones if you drink it regularly 2-3 times a day. The time of treatment depends on the size and number of solid formations in the kidneys and ducts. Citric acid will dissolve calcium salts. Also, citric acid alleviates the condition of a person with a high temperature, helps to increase urination. Lemon juice is good disinfectant, especially for the ureters, bladder, kidneys, prostate. This juice, even diluted in water, retains its disinfectant properties and kills microbes that cause diarrhea, typhoid fever, cholera, and stops vomiting.

For a healthy person, for the prevention of various diseases, it is useful to eat 1-2 lemons a day. But for people suffering from vascular blockage, the dose can be increased to 3-5 pieces per day. If you doubt the purity of water from an unknown source, then the simplest way to disinfect it is a few drops of sour lemon juice per cup of liquid.

alkaloids(alcali - alkali, cidos - species) are organic substances similar to alkalis. So, Alkaloids are in the form of salts of various acids, more often organic - citric, malic, succinic, etc., and less often inorganic - sulfuric, phosphoric, etc. (BME) Many alkaloids are valuable medicinal substances and are widely used to treat diseases nervous system, internal organs and a huge range of diseases.

organic acids(citric, amber, tannic, formic, lactic, acetic, ascorbic, salicylic) play an important role in maintaining the acid-base balance in the body, since, being completely oxidized, they provide a large amount of valuable alkaline components. In our modern conditions sedentary image life, stressful situations, pollution environment, leading to the accumulation of acidic metabolic products in our internal environment, the alkalizing effect of organic acids is important in the improvement of the human body, in particular in oncological processes.

Organic acids determine the taste of plants, and volatile acids (formic, acetic, valeric, etc.) determine their smell. They improve appetite, stimulate the secretion of bile, digestive juices, suppress putrefactive processes in the digestive tract, maintain acid-base balance in the body, activate metabolism, regulate thyroid function, neutralize toxins accumulated in the liver, alleviate alcohol or drug hangovers, thin viscous blood and are useful in the treatment of diseases of the circulatory and digestive systems, as well as skin diseases, in particular acne on the face, boils, help the release of oxygen from hemoglobin to the tissues (which is the prevention and treatment of tissue ischemia). Some of the organic acids are part of the cellular hormones - prostaglandins.

Organic acids, such as citric and acetic (apple cider vinegar) in particular, easily penetrate the skin, and therefore, I effectively use them in dilution with water, for wiping various parts of the body, in order to reduce the initial stage of varicose veins, with arthritis, arthrosis, osteoporosis, hair loss, dandruff, fungal infections of the skin and nails, skin tone, high temperature(this is a quick remedy for lowering the temperature), etc. Can also be added to baths. You can determine the correct dilution of the solution by taste, it should be pleasantly sour just for your taste.

With oxalic acid found in foods such as rhubarb, sorrel, spinach, tomatoes, bell pepper you need to be more careful, because this acid combines with calcium to form calcium oxalate (calcium oxalate), which is insoluble in water and precipitates. In the body, calcium oxalate occurs in the form of small crystals that are excreted in the urine. But sometimes these crystals combine and turn into hard and insoluble stones that clog the ducts leading from the kidneys to the bladder, which causes severe pain and can lead to surgical intervention in the future. Rhubarb leaves contain a huge amount of oxalic acid, which can even poison you, but the stems can be eaten without fear. Therefore, to improve the quality of blood, we cannot use oxalic acid, and the combination of such a dish as tomatoes with cheese must be excluded from the diet, or if you cannot imagine life without mozzarella with tomatoes, then at least supplement it with balsamic vinegar or lemon, plus oregano seasonings and basil, in order to extinguish unwanted processes.

Alkalinization of the blood must be stretched in small portions throughout the day, since the simultaneous administration of a large amount of organic acids (acetic, citric), acting on the body in an alkalizing way, can cause dizziness. The selection of the necessary acid for apple cider vinegar is also done by taste test, since in this way we can determine the amount of acid we need at the moment. Honey will soften the effects of vinegar on the stomach, while not changing its beneficial properties. When rubbing the whole body, for example, with water and apple cider vinegar, there is a drop in pressure. Therefore, people with low blood pressure are recommended to wipe certain parts of the body, for example, only the legs, or only the arms, or only the head.

Apple cider vinegar should not be taken by those who have stomach and duodenal ulcers. If there is a hidden ulcer, or other damage to the mucosa, then vinegar can aggravate the situation. If you are taking apple cider vinegar and feel heartburn, this is the first sign that you need to stop taking it. But if you are healthy, then nothing prevents you from adding apple cider vinegar to your tea at a dosage of 1-2 teaspoons per cup. The main thing is not to overdo it, do not increase the dosage, otherwise dizziness may appear. And yet, when buying apple cider vinegar, read its composition, only apple wine and no additives should be indicated in the composition, or use a home-made product.

In terms of usefulness, you can put citric acid first, then acetic acid.

Alkalinization is also possible with carbonic acid by holding the breath or not deep breathing, described by Professor Buteyko K.P. - method of volitional elimination of deep breathing (VLHD), this method of shallow breathing, described by the author, is used to treat bronchial asthma and cardiovascular diseases.

It must be understood that alkalization of the blood with organic acids should be used as an aid, but the main thing is the introduction of roots, young green shoots of plants, honey (2-3 teaspoons per day), herbal teas, sea vegetables (seaweed) into the diet. Exclude from the diet highly calcified foods, such as cheese and cottage cheese, that can clog small capillaries with calcium and stiffen muscles and blood vessels, which leads to premature aging of the body. For example, to obtain 1 kg of cheese, 12 liters of milk are consumed!

Once a week it is advisable to arrange for yourself fasting days eating only fruits and vegetables(1.5 kg of vegetables, divided for the whole day). You can, for example, only freshly squeezed juices, limited to only 5-6 glasses, breaking them into 5-10 doses every 2-3 hours.

Most of the dry legumes and cereals, with the exception of buckwheat, degrade the quality of blood during normal preparation. However, after soaking or sprouting, they no longer have such a negative effect. Cereals need to be soaked - half an hour before cooking, legumes - overnight, then drain the water, rinse the soaked product, and cook.

If you are sick, I would recommend that you give up any meat food, even broth. The first meal in the morning should consist mainly of raw foods with a high content of ballast substances (fiber). The most useful breakfast will be a large portion of vegetable salad, fruit, vegetable juice or fruit. In the case when there is a desire to lose weight, only this should be limited.

Just one moment - nitrates. Nitrates are protein-free nitrogenous substances found mainly in plant products. With an excess of nitrogenous fertilizers, incl. manure and compost used for plant growth, the content of nitrates in plant foods can exceed tens of times.

In the digestive tract, part of the nitrates passes into nitrites, which disrupt the structure of hemoglobin. As a result, latent oxygen deficiency develops (because hemoglobin carries oxygen in the blood), causing a variety of diseases. Among other things, N-nitrosamines are formed from nitrates. They have a strong carcinogenic activity - they contribute to the development of cancer, and, above all, in the digestive organs.

Few people know that nitrates are not only not harmful, but even beneficial. They have a vasodilating effect and improve blood circulation. So, for example, we all know nitroglycerin is a nitrate. The main thing is to prevent the conversion of nitrates into nitrites and into N-nitrosamines. This can be easily done by adding organic acids such as citric, acetic. In this case, negative action nitrates on the body is completely blocked and only beneficial features. Therefore, I recommend adding lemon juice, or apple or balsamic vinegar to salads.

It is necessary to take microelements, primarily iodine, selenium, zinc, in agreement with the doctor - vitamins and multivitamins. The treatment time is from several weeks to 1 year.

If you have an operation, it should be done only with normal blood, after the operation it is necessary to follow a plant-based diet.

I wanted to draw your attention to the fact that healthy foods(for example, fruit) consumed with sugar is a product that worsens the quality of the blood. So lemon with sugar will no longer have healing properties, unlike lemon with honey.

Everyone wants sweets, and there is a healthy alternative to preserves and jams, jam prepared without sugar. It can be used as an independent sweet dish, with cereals or smeared on bread, getting some delicious cake.

Recipe alkalizing apricot jam:

150 g dried apricots

100 g dried apples

60 g raisins

4 cups freshly squeezed orange juice

Cook all the ingredients over low heat until the fruit is soft.

They are cooled, ground in a blender until a homogeneous mass is obtained, and transferred to sterilized jars (sterilize with boiling water). When the mixture has cooled, close the jars tightly and place them in the refrigerator.

Diseases of the cardiovascular system occupy the first place among the causes of death in our country and around the world. The vast majority of these diseases develop against the background of sclerotic changes in blood vessels. An important role in the appearance of pathologies of the vascular wall is played by the formation of so-called cholesterol plaques. These are seals made up of cholesterol molecules. They reduce the lumen of the vessel, reducing the rate of blood flow.

Source: depositphotos.com

Cholesterol (including its "bad" modifications) enters the human body with food of animal origin. In youth, when metabolic processes are intense, this substance is successfully removed from the bloodstream. Over time, metabolism slows down, and sometimes its disorders occur, associated with the gradual accumulation of the consequences of the harmful effects of aggressive factors, stress, unhealthy habits and various diseases. As a result, "bad" cholesterol is deposited on the walls of blood vessels, forming plaques. If untreated, the consequences can be very sad: the deterioration of blood flow is fraught with the development of pathologies such as varicose veins, angina pectoris, heart rhythm disturbances, acute heart failure, myocardial infarction and strokes.

The process of sclerosis of the walls of blood vessels can be stopped (and even reduce existing disorders) with the help of properly selected therapy. At the initial stages of the disease, diet therapy is effective, which consists, in particular, in the inclusion in the diet of products that can reduce the amount of bad cholesterol in the blood and improve the rheological properties of the blood.

Barley groats

Barley grains contain the polysaccharide beta-glucan. In combination with big amount B vitamins and carotenoids, this substance actively reduces the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. The composition of barley includes components that reduce blood clotting and prevent the formation of blood clots.

To protect blood vessels, it is better to use not boiled barley groats (barley), but sprouts grown from whole (unpeeled) seeds.

Flax seed

Flaxseed is a unique product rich in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Its use in food helps to remove excess cholesterol from the body and even reduce the size of existing sclerotic plaques. The best option extraction of useful substances - preparation of an aqueous infusion of flax seeds.

It should be noted that the beneficial properties of flaxseed are well preserved in linseed oil cold pressed.

Olive oil

Mediterranean cuisine is considered one of the healthiest in the world. Representatives of peoples who adhere to the Mediterranean diet are less likely to suffer from cerebral vascular sclerosis. Experts believe that the reason for this phenomenon is the saturation of their diet with vegetables, fruits, seafood and olive oil.

Cold pressed olive oil is rich in omega-9 fatty acids. They are easily absorbed by the body, help cleanse the blood of excess cholesterol, normalize metabolism, and increase the elasticity of vascular walls.

nuts

Like other seeds, nuts are rich in biologically active substances that contribute to the overall health of the body and slow down the aging process. Most beneficial for maintaining cardiovascular health walnuts and cashews: they increase the elasticity and tone of blood vessels, help lower blood cholesterol levels. Almonds contain substances that activate the process of hematopoiesis.

It should be remembered that nuts often cause allergic reactions, so their inclusion in the diet requires caution in people prone to allergies.

oily fish

Fatty marine fish (herring, mackerel, halibut, etc.) are considered one of the best sources of Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. These products are recommended for the elderly, as well as patients with metabolic disorders. Fish is easier to digest than meat products, contains complete animal proteins, vitamins and microelements (including iodine and phosphorus necessary for the body). Its regular use helps to actively fight the process of vascular sclerosis. It has been established that the inclusion of oily sea fish in the daily diet reduces the risk of developing acute heart failure and myocardial infarction.

Legumes

All legumes have a pronounced choleretic effect. Their regular use in food helps rid the blood of excess cholesterol. Beans, peas, soybeans, lentils and beans are rich in proteins, which are similar in composition to animal proteins, although they are somewhat less digestible.

For those who do not like or tolerate dishes made from mature beans, green pods (shoulders) collected at the stage of milky ripeness are perfect. The required amount of this tasty product can be grown independently in the garden and even on the balcony. Varieties of asparagus beans (cowpea) are specially bred, the pods of which reach 50-60 cm in length and remain soft for a long time.

(an excerpt from the book "Secrets of Slimness" by professional nutritionist Olga Khazova)

Blood is an extracellular fluid, a saline solution. It is not a secret for anyone that it is the main living environment, on the quality of which all the processes occurring in our organs and cells depend.

Traditional Chinese medicine says the following about blood: “Blood nourishes, cools and hydrates the body. Blood provides peace of mind, ease, the ability to relax and sleep well. Recovery and healthy, restful sleep depend on the quality of the blood. High-quality food contributes to the replenishment of internal energy and blood, thanks to which the organs are well supplied and can balance the loads if they occur.

Blood controls the personal charm of a person, which is reflected in the face and eyes, the ability to express himself, language, facial expressions and speech.

The blood pumped by the heart flows inside the body at a speed of 11 m/s, i.e. 40 km/h. The blood flow is a continuous stream with a density of 1.06 g/cm 3 . It flows through a network of blood vessels that includes large veins and arteries that branch many times and gradually decrease to the size of tiny capillaries. Various substances easily seep through the thinnest walls of the capillaries, which is why a continuous exchange occurs in living tissues: the blood gives the cells of the body life-supporting substances and washes away decay products.

As it enters all parts of the body, blood performs various important functions:

  • nutritional function . Blood carries oxygen (O 2) and various nutrients, gives them to tissue cells and takes carbon dioxide (CO 2) and other decay products for their removal from the body.
  • transport function - transfer of various substances: oxygen and carbon dioxide, nutrients, mediators, enzymes, electrolytes. The excretory function of blood is the transfer of metabolic end products - urea, uric acid, excess water, organic and mineral substances to the organs of their excretion (kidneys, sweat glands, lungs, intestines). The excretion from the body of metabolites that have served their time, or substances that are currently in excess, is also associated with transport. The blood carries the peptides, ions and hormones produced by the endocrine glands to the corresponding organs, thus transmitting "molecular information" from one zone to another.
  • Ability to stop bleeding . When vascular bleeding occurs, the blood sends numerous leukocytes to this place, causes plasma to leave the vessels, or concentrates platelets - platelets - in places of blood loss.
  • Thermoregulatory function . Blood is a heating system that distributes heat throughout the body.
  • Protective function . Blood, transporting leukocytes and antibodies that protect the body from pathogenic microorganisms, is involved in the implementation of immunity.
  • pH regulator function . Blood prevents changes in the acidity of the internal environment (7.35-7.45) with the help of substances such as proteins and mineral salts.

It has been established that a certain range of blood pH fluctuations corresponds to the state of the norm - from 7.37 to 7.45 with an average value of 7.40. As you can see, the blood has an alkaline reaction.

Solutions and liquids with respect to their acidity are considered:

  • http://www..gif); background-position: 0px 8px; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; "> neutral at pH = 7;
  • http://www..gif); background-position: 0px 8px; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; "> acidic at pH< 7;
  • http://www..gif); background-position: 0px 8px; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; "> alkaline at pH > 7.

The most important buffer systems of blood are bicarbonate, phosphate, protein and the most powerful hemoglobin.

The total amount of blood in the body of an adult is on average 6 - 8% of body weight, which corresponds to 5 to 6 liters of blood in men, and in women - from 4 to 5.

Their uniqueness lies in the fact that they are able to distinguish between normal cells from diseased and affected cells and destroy the latter. This is the function of the immune system of the human body. The greatest activity of lymphatic cells in the destruction of diseased cells is manifested at pH 7.4. However, there is usually a more acidic environment around the affected cells, which inhibits the activity of lymphocytes, which work best at a slightly alkaline pH.

True, there are also T-lymphocytes in the body, they are also called T-killers (a kind of body police that can cope with a cancer cell in the early stages). These are strong cells. But the oncological cell can deceive them by releasing a special toxin into the environment that disrupts the normal acidity (pH) for T-killers and thereby keeps them away.

For normal metabolism, it is necessary that the acid-base balance in the blood be maintained within certain limits.

Signs of impaired blood quality and composition are fatigue, drowsiness, memory impairment, decreased immunity, physical weakness, decreased mental activity, insomnia, irritability, depression, headaches, various diseases of internal organs; at the same time, enzyme activity decreases, the likelihood of cancer cells multiplying due to an increase in the amount of fungal flora increases, tension of the neck and shoulder muscles appears, bitterness in the mouth, gray plaque on the tongue, flushing of the face, dark circles under the eyes, etc. And most importantly, during such a period, cooling and colds are dangerous, because. the body is not able to suppress either infection or viruses.

Causes of changes in the composition and quality of blood:

  • Insufficient intake or poor digestibility of water.
  • Eating a lot of sugars and simple carbohydrates.
  • Eating trans fatty acids from fried foods.
  • Lack of organic acids and alkaline trace elements.
  • enzymatic deficiency.
  • Excessive blood-destroying function of the spleen.
  • Harmful effects of radiation.
  • Dehydration of the body in a very hot climate or very high physical exertion.
  • Highlands.
  • Low water quality.
  • Oxygen starvation of the body.
  • Stress.

You can find out the amount of extracellular fluid (blood, lymph) and choose an individual system of exposure (nutrition, drinking regimen, etc.) with an affordable and inexpensive examination - Diagnostics of the human body composition (Bioimpedancemetry).

Seeing the quality of blood with your own eyes has become possible thanks to a diagnostic called Blood Drop Hemoscanning. This is a study of a live blood drop under high magnification. We see on the monitor screen a breathtaking film about the life of each of our cells located in the drop under study. Thanks to the Hemoscanning method, one can judge the activity of the immune system and the body's ability to self-heal, the functioning of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, the presence of fungi, helminth larvae, disturbances in the intestinal flora, acidification of the body. Diagnostics was created in order to find the causes of the disease and prevent its development. Wise Nature has created our body as a complex computer programmed for a very long life. And this computer is able to cope with any problems. All that is necessary for him to heal is to turn on the purification system, properly feed, drink and provide oxygen. And this method gives a hint where to start.

Separately located rounded red blood cells of different sizes indicate a lack of B vitamins, folic acid and iron in the body. The presence of erythrocytes with "bitten" edges in the blood indicates a large number of free radicals. A large number of destroyed red blood cells leads to the development of various pathologies, including cancer. The accumulation of platelets in large groups indicates a predisposition to thrombosis. The presence in the blood plasma of various inclusions - cholesterol crystals, salts of uric and orthophosphoric acids, bacteria, larvae, fungi and their spores, rapidly falling fibrinogen spicules - is an indication of a predisposition to the development of the disease. I have already said that blood cells need a pH of 7.43 units: in such an environment, blood cells feel comfortable, and various bacteria, fungi, viruses, worm larvae, on the contrary, do not like this environment.

The trans-fatty acid molecules that enter the body when eating fried foods are very sticky, which increases the stickiness of platelets and can lead to the formation of blood clots and poor blood flow in the smallest blood vessels.

Because the indicator of the total amount of water in the body (and most of these diagnostics measure exactly this indicator) is uninformative and cannot be used for the correct diet and drinking regimen.

Blood is more than 90% water; water is absorbed by the large intestine. Water, along with blood flow, delivers nutrients and oxygen to cells, acts like a solvent, thinning the blood and helping beneficial substances to be better absorbed.

In the first place, the predominance in the diet of such products as sugar, sweets, flour products, dairy products, cereals and meat foods in large quantities leads to a violation of the quality and composition of the blood.

The second factor is the use of incompatible foods, for example, proteins with carbohydrates. Oxidizing agents are also many preservatives and food additives, which are so rich in modern products, especially those with a long shelf life: alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea, chocolate, tobacco.

Another factor that worsens the composition and quality of blood is the insufficient intake of greens and green leafy salads. A good medicine for the blood is vegetables and a small amount of greens eaten daily for lunch and dinner. For every 70-80 g of meat, fish or cereal products, there should be about 100 g of vegetables or a cup of greens.

The daily diet of a healthy person should include at least 75-85% of plant products, and in the diet of a person suffering from any disease, their share should be increased to 90%.

Greens, vegetables, berries and fruits. And in that order, and not vice versa. Since fruits contain a large amount of fructose, and it, in turn, is not stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen, then, accordingly, it cannot go to the energy needs of the body and very quickly turns into fat. Fruit is a difficult to digest food. Therefore, if your goal is a slender body, then the amount of fruit should be limited to 300 grams (for professional athletes, this value is calculated individually for different sports and is much larger, on average 800-1000 g). Ideal if the fruits are boiled or stewed, or used in the form of sugar-free compotes. Or the best option will replace fruits with berries - such as raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries.

In the vast majority of cases, protein-rich foods (such as meat and eggs) do not lead to a pathological increase in blood acidity. On the contrary, proteins High Quality necessary for the body to maintain the correct level of acidity in the blood and extracellular fluids and the health of the lungs and kidneys, that is, those organs that are directly related to the regulation of the level of blood acidity. What's more, for diabetics and people with low sugar, liver and gallbladder dysfunction, a diet consisting solely of fruits and vegetables can be dangerous even in the short term. Therefore, high-quality protein foods must be present in your daily diet in reasonable quantities. We will talk about the right amount and quality of protein in a separate topic “Proteins”.

The most useful alkalizing products are boiled beets, carrots, dried apricots, lemon, grapefruit, melons and watermelons (in season). Vegetable juices can be added to the diet between main meals as a snack. 200 g of vegetables can be replaced with 1 glass of freshly squeezed vegetable juice - carrot, and in the summer in extreme heat - celery or tomato. Speaking of our cold climate, fruit juices should preferably be diluted with hot water to neutralize their cooling effect on the body.

Your menu to improve the composition and quality of blood should consist of the following products: leafy greens, berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries), pickled vegetables, grated beets and carrots, finely chopped cabbage, parsley, dill, steam celery (root, stems and leaves ), onions, figs, pomegranate, sea buckthorn, soaked prunes, apples (preferably baked), jacket potatoes, apricots, peaches and also dandelion leaves, buckwheat, blackcurrant seeds, chestnut, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, raw nuts, fresh ginger, artichoke, willow bark (natural aspirin) - as prescribed by a specialist, mulberry (mulberry), ginkgo biloba, burdock root (Latin name - Burdok), lecithin. In the warm season - lemon, grapefruit, orange, watermelon, melon.

Citric acid is found in small amounts in the mitochondria of all cells and is a very necessary organic acid. The restorative ability of lemon in relation to all tissues is exceptional.

The juice of one lemon in half a glass of hot water will help get rid of sand and kidney stones if you drink it regularly 2-3 times a day during the hot season. The time of treatment depends on the size and number of solid formations in the kidneys and ducts. Citric acid will dissolve calcium salts. Citric acid also increases urination. Lemon juice is a good disinfectant, especially for the ureters, bladder, kidneys, prostate. This juice, even diluted in water, retains its disinfectant properties and kills microbes that cause diarrhea, typhoid fever, cholera, and stops vomiting.

In addition to disinfecting properties, this juice also has an astringent effect and is very useful for treating various wounds, both simple and purulent, on the surface of the body, on the lips, in the mouth, on the genitals, with skin rashes and ringworm, with fungal infections. , for sore throats. It begins to act on the human body, first as an excellent solvent, and then as a reducing agent. First of all, it dissolves what needs to be removed from the body, so that it can then be better restored.

Lemon juice stops bleeding, both external and internal. In addition, it can be added to vegetable salads, as well as lobio, fish, meat, even slices of boiled beets can be seasoned with lemon juice. This will contribute to good digestion of food and give it a piquant taste and aroma, as well as protect the stomach from poisoning in case of poor quality of the product.

Alkaloids (alcali - alkali, cidos - species) are organic substances similar to alkalis. So, alkaloids are in the form of salts of various acids, more often organic - citric, malic, succinic, etc., and less often inorganic - sulfuric, phosphoric, etc. (BME) Many alkaloids are valuable medicinal substances and are widely used to treat a huge spectrum diseases, incl. diseases of the nervous system, internal organs.

Organic acids - citric, succinic, formic, lactic, acetic, ascorbic, salicylic, valeric, butyric, pyruvic, tartaric, fumaric, etc. - play an important role in maintaining the acid-base balance in the body, since, being completely oxidized, they give a large number of valuable alkaline components. Organic acids are found in plants in significant quantities both in the free state and in the form of salts or esters. Organic acids accumulate in the largest quantities in fruits, seeds, berries, leaves, stems, and roots.

Organic acids determine the taste of plants, and volatile acids (formic, acetic, valeric, etc.) determine their smell. They improve appetite, stimulate the secretion of bile, digestive juices, suppress putrefactive processes in the digestive tract, maintain acid-base balance in the body, activate metabolism, regulate thyroid function, neutralize toxins accumulated in the liver, alleviate alcohol or drug hangovers, thin , viscous blood and are useful in the treatment of diseases of the circulatory and digestive systems, as well as skin diseases, in particular acne on the face, boils, help the release of oxygen from hemoglobin to the tissues (which is the prevention and treatment of tissue ischemia). Some of the organic acids are part of the cellular hormones - prostaglandins.

In our modern conditions of a sedentary lifestyle, stressful situations, environmental pollution, leading to the accumulation of acidic metabolic products in our internal environment, the alkalizing effect of organic acids is important in the improvement of the human body, in particular in oncological processes. Organic acids - such as, in particular, citric and acetic (apple vinegar) - easily penetrate the skin, and therefore are effectively used in medical practice in dilution with water for wiping various parts of the body in order to reduce the initial stage of varicose veins, for arthritis, arthrosis, osteoporosis, hair loss, dandruff, fungal infections of the skin and nails, to increase the tone of the skin, at high temperature (this is a quick remedy to reduce temperature), etc.

Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice can be added to baths. You can determine the correct dilution of the solution by taste: the water should be pleasantly sour. When wiping the whole body, for example, with water and apple cider vinegar, there is a decrease in pressure. Therefore, people with low blood pressure are recommended to wipe certain parts of the body - only the legs, or only the arms, or only the head.

With oxalic acid contained in foods such as rhubarb, sorrel, spinach, tomatoes, bell peppers, you need to be careful, because. this acid combines with calcium to form calcium oxalate (calcium oxalate), which is insoluble in water and precipitates. Therefore, to improve the quality of blood, we cannot use oxalic acid, and the combination of such a dish as tomatoes with cheese must be excluded from the diet. But if you can’t imagine life without mozzarella with tomatoes, then you should at least supplement it with balsamic vinegar with oregano and basil seasonings in order to extinguish unwanted oxalate formation processes. By themselves, products containing oxalic acid, such as tomatoes, sorrel, bell peppers, are cold in relation to our body, therefore they should be used extremely rarely and only in the hot season. If you are always cold, or your hands and feet are always cold for reasons unknown to you, in this case, you must completely abandon these products, because. their cooling effect penetrates very deeply into the body, leading to various cold diseases. We will talk about them further.

Alkalinization of the blood must be stretched: administered in small portions throughout the day, since the simultaneous administration of a large amount of organic acids (acetic, citric) can cause dizziness associated with the intake of a large portion of alkalizing substances (alkaloids) into the body. The selection of the required concentration of acid for ingestion of apple cider vinegar is also done by taste test, since it is in this way that we can determine the amount of acid we need at the moment. By adding 1 teaspoon of honey to vinegar water (tea), we soften the effect of vinegar on the stomach, without changing its beneficial properties.

Apple cider vinegar with water should not be taken on an empty stomach for those who have stomach and duodenal ulcers. If there is a hidden ulcer or other damage to the mucosa, then vinegar can aggravate the situation. If you are taking apple cider vinegar with water and feel heartburn, this is the first sign that you need to stop taking it. But if you are healthy, then nothing prevents you from adding apple cider vinegar to your tea at a dosage of 1-2 teaspoons per cup 1-2 times a day after meals or with meals. Drink the drink quickly, do not keep the mixture in your mouth, because the acid is harmful to the teeth. The ideal option is to use apple cider vinegar as a salad dressing or adding it to an already prepared dish, as the beneficial properties of vinegar are destroyed during the heating process. The main thing is not to overdo it, do not increase the dosage, otherwise you may experience dizziness from one-stage alkalization. Vinegar is an enzyme product that improves the digestion of food. And one more thing: when buying apple cider vinegar, read its composition; Use only apple wine and no additives, or use homemade apple cider vinegar.

It is difficult to say what to put in the leading place - acetic or citric acid. But it is clear that in the warm season it is citric acid, in the cold - acetic acid.

In my opinion, noteworthy is valeric (isovaleric) acid, which is found mainly in valerian root and viburnum.

Active ingredients: valerian rhizome and roots contain up to 3-3.5% essential oil, isovaleric acid, bornylizovalerianate, borneol, borneol esters of formic, butyric and acetic acids, pinenes, sesquiterpenes, alcohols, as well as a number of alkaloids, glycosidic compounds (valerosides) , valepatriates, tannins, resins, some ketones, starch and organic acids (palmitic, stearic, acetic, formic, malic and others). The main active ingredients of valerian include valepatriates present in the underground part of the plant. Valepatriates are found in fresh raw materials and in a living plant. During the drying process, they decompose with the formation of free valeric acid and its analogues. The rhizomes contain ash, macronutrients.

In industry, valeric acid is used in the production of medicinal substances, for the protection of wood, the production of heat-resistant lubricants, herbicides and attractants; acid and its Li-salt increase the octane number of motor fuels.

Valerian root is used in medicine as a sedative (calming) agent, for insomnia, nervous agitation, neurosis of the cardiovascular system, accompanied by spasm of the coronary vessels, tachycardia, as well as for epilepsy, asthma, migraine, spasm gastrointestinal tract and for the treatment of neurodermatitis, glaucoma. Sometimes valerian is used in combination with bromine preparations, cardiac and other sedatives for menopausal disorders and flatulence. The therapeutic effect of valerian is due to the complex of substances contained in it, and above all, essential oil and alkaloids. In rhizomes and roots, the amount of essential oil reaches 2%.

Valerian is part of Zelenin drops, valocordin, cardiovalen, etc., as well as in various fees. Used as an anthelmintic. Valerian also has contraindications. Its drugs slightly increase blood clotting, which is especially undesirable for older people, especially with the threat of a heart attack or stroke.

Valerian was already used in the time of Hippocrates in the treatment of women's diseases. Since then, it has been in any herbalist. Dioscorides and Pliny wrote about her; Medieval herbalists and later books by Mattiolus, Fuchs and Bock expanded the list of indications for the use of valerian. Knowing about its anti-spasmodic and dehydrating effect, valerian is especially valued as a remedy for menopausal suffering in women. IN folk medicine tincture, decoction, infusion are used for asthenia, sciatica, dizziness, fainting, collapses, tetanus, paralysis, spasmophilia, chorea, scarlet fever, visual impairment, rheumatism, gastralgia, stomach cramps in children, to improve appetite, diarrhea, dysentery, hemorrhoids , hiccups, cancer (in particular, the rectum, throat), pulmonary tuberculosis, hypoxia, malaria, fever, diabetes mellitus, and also as a diaphoretic, diuretic, antiemetic, anthelmintic, detoxifying (for bites of rabid animals) agent. Infusion, decoction in the form of enemas - with gastric colic, vomiting, convulsions in children; wash your head with a headache; with diathesis, epilepsy, chronic ulcers, for washing the eyes. Juice reduces the excitability of the central nervous system and mental stress, improves sleep, relieves spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, headaches.

Alkalinization is also possible with carbonic acid by holding the breath or shallow breathing, described by Professor Buteyko K.P. - method of volitional elimination of deep breathing (VLHD). This method of shallow breathing, described by the author, treats bronchial asthma and cardiovascular diseases.

Excitation of the respiratory center is caused not by carbon dioxide itself, and it is important to know this, but by the increase in the concentration of hydrogen ions (increase in pH) in the cells of the respiratory center caused by it.

It must be understood that alkalization of the blood with organic acids should be used as an adjuvant, but the main thing is the introduction of roots, berries, herbs and green leafy salads, honey (2-3 teaspoons per day), herbal teas, sea vegetables (seaweeds) into the diet ). It is necessary to exclude from the diet highly calcified foods, such as cheese and cottage cheese, which can clog small capillaries with calcium and stiffen muscles and blood vessels, which leads to premature aging of the body - calcification. For example, to obtain 1 kg of cheese, 12 liters of milk are consumed, you can imagine the amount of calcium in this product, given that we always have it in excess!

Heaviness and tingling in the legs, swollen ankles, varicose veins - all this suggests that you urgently need to improve blood circulation ... What are the causes of the problem, how to improve blood circulation without pills, read on.

Why blood circulation is disturbed

Depending on age, sex, heredity, lifestyle and diet, some parameters of blood circulation change. Loss of elasticity in veins and tissues, as well as weakening of the valves that direct blood to the upper body, which are attached to the walls of the veins like little buds on a tree trunk and help move blood back to the heart. This phenomenon leads to a condition called "stasis" and the leakage of fluids into the surrounding tissues due to their permeability, which causes swelling.

The quality of the blood also plays a role. Women are more prone to circulatory problems than men because female hormones contribute to a greater accumulation of fat and fluids. Venous insufficiency in women is more often observed in the 2nd part of the cycle, during pregnancy, in case of weak physical activity, as well as taking various drugs, including contraceptives.

Here's what can impair circulation:

  • Static positions, work standing or sitting;
  • Tight clothing;
  • Cross-legged position;
  • High heels or, conversely, too flat shoes;
  • Warm;
  • Passive lifestyle.

Avoid anything that interferes with proper metabolism. It could be:

  • overweight,
  • a diet low in fruits and vegetables and high in processed foods
  • coffee and alcoholic drinks
  • constipation,
  • lack of water, dehydration
  • poor oral hygiene,
  • smoking,
  • some hormonal preparations(including contraceptives).

What to eat to improve blood circulation in the legs

If you feel "heavy in the legs", then it is advisable to reduce the intake of fatty foods, sugary, high-calorie, industrially processed foods. Eat fresh fruits every day - blackcurrant, lemon, lime, tangerine, strawberry, raspberry, guava, kiwi, lychee, mango, orange, grapefruit, blueberry and apricot are good for blood circulation.

The most suitable are fruits and berries rich in flavonoids, substances that strengthen and tone the tissues of blood vessels, which contributes to proper blood circulation. Pineapple is also recommended for its drainage effect.

Finally, foods high in vitamin E promote blood circulation; it has antioxidant, vasodilating properties, and also protects the membranes of all cells. Especially a lot of vitamin E is present in wheat germ oil, hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts and pistachios.

The body needs calories, but even the most healthy foods should be consumed in moderation.

Advice:

To improve blood circulation, eat fresh fruits daily - they contain useful trace elements and vitamins.

Minerals to increase blood circulation

Calcium has an anti-inflammatory effect, especially on the walls of veins and blood vessels. The mineral is the enemy of varicose veins and phlebitis, it is recommended to take calcium supplements from 1000 to 1500 mg per day. Calcium reduces pain and fluid retention.

Magnesium is a cofactor in the absorption of calcium, in addition, it reduces spasms of the veins. It is recommended to take from 200 to 300 mg in combination with vitamin B6.

Iron through hemoglobin transports oxygen to the cells, which is vital for many functions, including maintaining the walls of the vein in good condition.

Potassium is a hypotensive mineral that also increases muscle activity. Make sure you are getting enough potassium to meet your body's daily needs.

Vitamin C, Vitamin B9 and B12 facilitate the absorption of iron by the intestinal wall.

What to do in everyday life

Simple actions help improve blood circulation without any pills.

In bed. Raise the legs of the bed at the feet by 5-10 cm. Do not put pillows under your feet during sleep, this prevents the normal reverse blood circulation.

Belts and tight clothing. Avoid anything that constricts your body, including tight bras, jeans or tight pants, socks, and tights. Preferred natural materials that retain heat.

In bathroom. In the morning and / or several times a day, if necessary, take a shower and do not forget to massage your legs with a jet of water. In some cases, a hot to cold contrast shower is useful, this helps the elasticity of the vessels. There are showers on the market that can deliver pressurized water to the legs, arms, legs, or the entire body.

Creams and massage. Creams, gels, or sprays combined with massage may provide relief. Massage to improve blood circulation should be performed several times a day in a circular motion from the feet and ankles to the knees and thighs. Repeat the movement 12 times.

At work or at home. Raise your legs any time you get the chance. Take a close look at your workplace: The hips should be comfortable, but not tight. If your circulatory system is not working at full capacity, forget about the "cross-legged" position. When you are sitting, your legs should be slightly apart and bent at a perfect right angle. Avoid heated floors, hot baths, hot wax hair removal, saunas, extra blankets on the bed, and sun exposure.

Fight hypodynamia. Try not to stand or sit in one position for a long time. It is extremely important to move regularly, at least 5 minutes every hour if you have a sedentary job. Use every opportunity for additional movement - for example, use the stairs instead of the elevator.

Not only walking, but also dancing, swimming, jogging, cycling, cross-country skiing, golf, yoga, stretching exercises, strength training, aerobics, judo, horse riding, mountain climbing, tennis, table tennis, basketball, football help blood circulation. , volleyball or handball.

Do not forget about breathing exercises, yoga and meditation. Avoid smoking, including passive smoking.

How to improve vein tone with plants

There are plants that are effective for treating varicose veins, hemorrhoids and swelling of the ankles:

witch hazel used for vasoconstriction, reduced capillary permeability and increased vascular resistance. Witch hazel fights varicose veins, varicose ulcers, hemorrhoids, thanks to the astringent and vasoconstrictive effects of tannins. Its flavonoids increase the resistance of small vessels. Use externally and internally.

Holly(or holly) for vein tone. It is indicated for hemorrhoids, varicose veins, heaviness in the legs, capillary fragility, bleeding of the menstrual cycle.

Red grape leaves tones the veins and capillaries. Thanks to the action of vitamin P, the permeability of capillaries decreases and their resistance increases. The presence of tannins makes red grape leaves an astringent and vasoconstrictor natural remedy. The antioxidants in the leaves stabilize the vascular collagen. Red grape leaves are taken for heaviness in the legs, varicose veins, hemorrhoids. It is advisable to combine them with witch hazel.

Ginkgo biloba It has also long been used for circulatory problems and to treat various arterial problems.

Hazel. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, venotonic properties. It is advisable to use externally and internally.

Centella(Centella asiatica). It is taken for venous insufficiency, varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Useful in gel form in preventing swelling associated with prolonged static positions (air travel, cars, etc.).

Aromatherapy refers to alternative medicine. At the moment, there is no scientific evidence that aromatherapy actually works. But if you like it psychologically (pleasant smells calm your nerves or, conversely, give you energy), then you can use it as an additional remedy, not forgetting about the real treatment that your doctor prescribed. Replace effective drugs doctors do not recommend essential oils: do not waste your money and time.

Recipe for an ointment to improve blood circulation:

  • Mastic tree (Pistachio mastic), resin 0.5 ml;
  • Italian immortelle, essential oil 1 ml;
  • Tea tree, essential oil 2 ml;
  • Cedar pine, essential oil 3 ml;
  • Peppermint, essential oil 2 ml;
  • Lemon 2 ml, essential oil;
  • Alexandria laurel, oil 100 ml.

Mix the ingredients, use the resulting ointment to massage problem areas. To improve blood circulation, massage in circular motions from the bottom up for 20 days or more for best results.

Venous insufficiency with edema

  • Running and walking are strongly recommended, but especially swimming or water aerobics 2 times a week, at least 45 minutes of active work. Indeed, water draws out the fluid that is in the tissues.
  • Do not abuse chemical diuretics, use them only under medical supervision, in particular because of the risk of sodium/potassium imbalance.
  • Also be picky about using herbal diuretics, don't use them for more than a week.
  • Reduce salt intake: do not add salt if you eat out (restaurant, cafe, fast food...); use salt with algae, spices, seeds; Avoid all canned and industrially prepared foods.
  • Drink weakly mineralized water

  • corn silk 10 g
  • goldenrod 20 g
  • heather (flowering tops) 20g
  • asparagus (roots) 30 g
  • mint (leaf) 20 g

Mix, pour 1 liter of water, boil for 3 minutes, turn off the heat, brew for 10 minutes, drink from 8 or 10 days. Then you can continue to drink tea 2 times a week.

Additional Methods for Combating Poor Circulation

Other methods, the action of which is recognized as effective in circulatory disorders:

  • lymphatic drainage;
  • Compression underwear (stockings, socks): works by compressing the veins to prevent blockage. Especially useful on long trips;
  • Massage insoles: reflex massage the soles of the foot are especially useful for prolonged standing;
  • Hardware foot massage: from wooden mechanical devices to electric massagers. Massage the soles of the feet, toes, heels. It helps to increase blood circulation;
  • Spa treatments, hydrotherapy;
  • Chinese medicine, Ayurveda

Choice of compression stockings

Despite the fact that all of the above methods (aromatherapy, diets, eating herbal decoctions) have some effect on blood circulation, most patients need the effect of "here and now". Of all the variety of methods for improving blood circulation, only the use of compression stockings and golf has an instant effect. The greatest efficiency of these devices was noted for varicose veins.

To maximize the effect, you need to know how to choose the right compression stockings. Total exists 4 classes of compression stockings- on medical products, the pressure force expressed in mm of mercury must be indicated:

  1. Class I - compression force 18-21 mm Hg. Art. Suitable for use by people with a tendency to slight swelling of the legs, at the initial stage of varicose veins, pregnant women. Used for prophylactic purposes.
  2. Class II compression hosiery - exerts pressure with a force of 22-32 mm Hg. Art. It is indicated for patients with lymphovenous insufficiency who underwent venectomy for varicose veins.
  3. Class III - pressure force 33-46 mm Hg. Art. used for complicated varicose veins, in the presence of trophic ulcers, with deep vein thrombosis of the legs.
  4. Class IV - compression force over 59 mm Hg. prescribed for lymphedema of the legs.

When using compression stockings, one should not forget about contraindications: in case of diabetic angiopathy and damage to the arteries of the legs, it is contraindicated. It is better to clarify the rules of wearing with your doctor, but in most cases, compression stockings are removed only at night.
