In Soviet times, the honored scientist Manuil Pevzner at the Moscow Institute of Nutrition developed special diets for various groups of diseases, among them table number 2.

Diet indications

Therapeutic nutrition is still successfully used in medical practice to eliminate the symptoms of:

  • gastritis- inflammation of the gastric mucosa;
  • colitis- inflammation of the mucous membrane in the large intestine;
  • enteritis- diseases of the small intestine.

A dietary diet aimed at restoring the functions of the gastrointestinal tract during the rehabilitation period implies a balanced menu that excludes spicy, fatty and indigestible foods. The daily number of kilocalories is no different from their number in a healthy person. The daily norm is 2800 kcal. Starvation and any restrictions are excluded.

Reason for diet prescription are acute and chronic forms of gastrointestinal diseases. During a crisis, the diet is prescribed after intensive therapy, when the acute phase passes. In the chronic course of the disease, specialized nutrition is recommended for a long time. In case of intestinal diseases, the nutritionist determines concomitant pathologies, if necessary, appoints another table.

Daily consumption important components with diet number 2:

  • 100 g of vegetable and animal fats;
  • 60 g of proteins;
  • 400 g of carbohydrates;
  • salt 15 g.

The essence of the diet- fiber-rich diet, proportional heat treatment.

A detailed list of prohibited and permitted foods, steaming them allows a person to smoothly adapt and not change their usual diet drastically. Table number 2 allows boiled, stewed, baked and fried food. The only restrictions on fried foods are an exception in the breading process and a reduction in the amount of oil.

Products are used finely chopped or ground into a soft gruel. Fish fillets are eaten whole, but without the skin. Minced meat is ground several times. During heat treatment, 80% of food is boiled or steamed. Overeating is prohibited. Welcome fractional nutrition- 4-5 times, food cannot be hot or cold, only warm.

  • barley;
  • corn;
  • barley;
  • legumes.

Other grains are well boiled and finely ground before serving, and millet porridge is eaten once a week.

herbal products

The principle is that vegetables and fruits are eaten only when they are ripe, and this useful plant like green peas may be present, but only to a limited extent, and if the body tolerates it well. The peculiarity is that mashed, thermally processed (mainly steamed) vegetables and fruits are served to the table in the form of mashed potatoes, jelly, mousses.

Excluded:

  • peppers (sweet and bitter);
  • radish, radish;
  • onion;
  • cucumbers;
  • garlic.

Nutritionists recommend drinking purified water during the day 15-20 minutes after eating, and at night being content with a glass of kefir. Salt is used in limited doses. Strict adherence to the diet contributes to the rapid recovery of the body.

Therapeutic Diet- one of the most effective forms of medical influence on a person. A sparing nutrition scheme is able to restore the normal functioning of internal organs. Such a table belongs to one of the most diverse types of medical nutrition.

Conclusion

The Pevzner diet restores the functioning of the digestive tract, improves digestion not only with gastritis and colitis, but also after acute infectious diseases of the stomach. However, nutritionists do not recommend restrictive eating. healthy people. To protect your stomach and intestines from diseases, you need a fractional and moderate diet. Alcoholic drinks, smoking increase the risk of gastrointestinal pathologies.

The appearance of heartburn, stomach pain, nausea is a signal that an examination of the internal organs is necessary. A healthy body is an invaluable gift, and neglect is too expensive for everyone, and the prevention of common diseases is much cheaper than their treatment!

It is prescribed for people who suffer from chronic gastritis. But besides this, such a nutrition plan is also useful for chronic colitis, enteritis, and liver diseases. Also, the "Table 2" diet is often prescribed as a therapeutic diet in the postoperative period for speedy rehabilitation and recuperation.

Features of therapeutic nutrition for gastritis

Indications: chronic gastritis with secretory insufficiency; enteritis, colitis, including during the period of exacerbation; postoperative period of recovery and rehabilitation; as well as the period of recovery after infectious diseases;

Duration: by doctor's prescription;

Features of the diet for chronic gastritis: the diet "Table 2" is a sparing diet for the digestive organs: the dishes are thermally processed and, if possible, crushed, spicy sauces and spices, indigestible dishes are completely excluded from the menu;

Energy value: 2400-2800 kK;

Liquid volume per day: 1.5 l;

Best Cooking Type: steamed, baked, stewed or boiled;

Power frequency: eat should be fractional, 4-5 times a day;

Diet "Table 2": what is possible, what is not

Meat, poultry, fish. In the case of the “Table 2” diet (which is often called briefly by both doctors and patients - diet number 2, or even diet 2), the restrictions concern not so much the types of meat or fish as how they are cooked and eaten. For example, stewed meat balls, "hedgehogs", steamed fish cakes, various kinds of casseroles or boiled fillets - can and should be included in the daily menu, but fried breaded cutlets, nuggets, meat semi-finished products and similar "goodies" - it is necessary, on the contrary , categorically excluded from the diet. If we talk about soups, then broths - both meat and fish - are only allowed secondary.

Eggs. You can - only soft-boiled and in the form of a steam omelette. No fried eggs are allowed!

Bread and flour. In the "Table 2" diet, bread and pastries made from wheat flour (preferably yesterday's), light biscuits, and non-bread cookies are acceptable.

Dairy products. As part of the "Table 2" diet, you can use milk as part of other dishes - along with tea, or in an omelet, etc. Low-fat kefir, cottage cheese, sugar-free yogurts are also allowed.

Vegetables. Any raw vegetables are strictly prohibited (they mechanically irritate the walls of the stomach, which is highly undesirable in any form of gastritis). Welcome: vegetable puree and cutlets and casseroles, salads from boiled vegetables. You should be very careful with vegetables such as white cabbage, green peas, fresh herbs.

Cereals. Only "viscous" types of cereals are allowed - semolina, sticky rice, oatmeal, etc. Pasta is allowed small and well boiled.

Fruits and desserts. Diet "Table 2" prohibits the use of hard fruits with a coarse fibrous texture - for example, apples, pears, pineapple, citrus fruits. Soft fruits, such as peaches, apricots, plums, etc., can be allowed in the diet. Or any fruit indiscriminately, but in the form of mashed potatoes, jams and other "rubbed". For sweets, choose desserts that are soft and not too fatty.

Beverages. You can: clean water, weak tea with milk, cocoa, juices, compotes and fruit drinks from sweet fruits and berries. You can not: sweet soda, kvass, sour drinks, strong black coffee, alcohol.

Additional restrictions. It is important to understand the basic principle therapeutic diet“Table 2”, which is in many ways similar to the healing principle of the “” diet (which is not surprising, since both are designed for people with digestive problems): foods and dishes are allowed in the diet that in no way irritate damaged stomach walls. This means that everything that enters the mouth (and then the stomach) should be at a neutral temperature, have a soft (ideally puree) consistency, and not be spicy, fatty, sour, smoked. For example: apples in pure form- you can’t, but applesauce from a jar of baby food is possible. Of the cereals, millet, barley groats, quinoa, corn groats are prohibited. Legumes are also banned (except for large white beans). The diet should not contain semi-finished products and canned food, pickles and marinades.

Forbidden soups - bean, pea, okroshka, milk soup.

Sample menu for the day

Eat on a diet "Table 2" should be fractional - 4-5 times a day. An approximate menu for the day might look like this:

  • Breakfast: an omelet from two eggs and milk, cottage cheese with honey or jam, tea;
  • Lunch: mushroom puree soup, fish casserole, sweet jelly;
  • Afternoon snack: a cup of cocoa with Tiramisu dessert;
  • Dinner: boiled vermicelli with meatballs, boiled and finely grated beetroot salad with prunes, tea;
  • 3 hours before bedtime: a glass of low-fat yogurt;

  • 2 Prepare unsweetened and weak coffee. Put the pieces of biscuits in the form and moisten them with hot coffee. The cookies should soften a little, but not turn into porridge (in other words, use moderation!).
  • 3 Spread a layer of mascarpone, sugar and eggs over the biscuits. Then once again lay out a layer of “soaked” cookies, and once again - a layer of mascarpone. Then generously sprinkle the dessert with cocoa powder.
  • 4 Finally put the dessert in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours until the cocoa soaks upper layer mascarpone and will not become dark, like coffee.
  • 5 Before serving, the dessert can be garnished with raspberries, blackberries and mint leaves.

The famous Soviet doctor M. Pevzner developed 15 diets (tables) recommended for use in the complex treatment of various diseases. Indications for diet 2 are:

  • Chronic gastritis with reduced secretion;
  • Acute gastritis, colitis or enteritis during the recovery period;
  • Chronic inflammatory diseases intestines (enteritis, colitis), occurring without concomitant pathology of the pancreas, liver, biliary tract, and also without gastritis with increased or normal secretion. Therefore, if you suffer from gastritis with high acidity, diet 2 is contraindicated for you. With gastroduodenitis, diet 2 can only be used if inflammation of the duodenum is combined with gastritis with low acidity.

Compliance with chronic gastritis diet 2 contributes to a fairly rapid improvement in health, and also prevents the development of exacerbations of the disease. But it should be remembered that diet 2 is indicated only for chronic gastritis with reduced secretion. In the case of gastritis with high acidity, the diet is somewhat different. It also provides for mechanical sparing, but substances that enhance the secretion of hydrochloric acid by the parietal cells of the gastric mucosa are excluded from the diet (diet 1 according to Pevzner).

Chronic gastritis is often combined with an inflammatory process in the duodenum. With gastroduodenitis, diet 2 is indicated only if gastritis occurs with low acidity. Otherwise, Pevsner's diet 1 is also recommended.

Diet No. 2 provides a moderate sparing of the gastrointestinal tract from mechanical irritation and maintains chemical irritation with food in order to stimulate gastric secretion.

    The Therapeutic Diet 2 was developed as an adjunct in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. It is not used as a means for weight loss. The main principle of diet number 2 is to protect the stomach from traumatic food fibers, and to prevent irritation from exposure to gastric juice.

    Short story

    The nutritionist and therapist Manuil Pevzner was involved in the development of the therapeutic diet table number 2. His wards were people suffering from various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract at different stages. He developed many therapeutic diets aimed at the rehabilitation of seriously ill patients in the postoperative period, hypertensive patients suffering from rheumatism, diseases of the liver, kidneys, etc. His research was aimed at proving the relationship between a person’s daily diet and his illnesses of very different directions.

    This diet is official, approved by the Ministry of Health in the first half of the 20th century, since then it has not lost its relevance. Until now, in clinics and sanatoriums, it is used for the treatment different forms gastritis, ulcers, colitis and other diseases.

    Who is on the diet?

    Therapeutic nutrition of this type is designed to saturate the body with vitamins, minerals, especially iron, and proteins. Also, the diet is made up in order to stimulate the pancreas to produce more enzyme to break down food with low acidity. Diet table 2 is indicated for long-term use by people suffering from diseases such as:

    • chronic gastritis with a low level of acidity;
    • colitis in remission;
    • atrophic gastritis;
    • fermentation and flatulence;
    • diseases of the liver and duodenum.

    The period for which diet 2 will be calculated is determined only by the attending physician. In some cases, it should be followed for up to several months.

    Rules for compiling a diet

    Diet Therapeutic Diet Number 2 does not have a strict regulation on the prohibition of certain foods. What matters here is not the product itself, but the way it is prepared and consumed. Everything that can irritate the stomach or injure its walls should be excluded from the diet.

    1. You can not eat fresh pastries, muffins, bread. Dried, yesterday's bread, unsweetened cookies or muffins are allowed, which should be chewed thoroughly, moistened with saliva.
    2. Milk is allowed only as an auxiliary ingredient for pasta or cereals.
    3. Cook cereals only in ground form like semolina. Exclude wheat, barley, barley and corn porridge.
    4. Soups are prepared on low-fat broths from lean or moderately fatty fish. It is allowed to add small pasta or ground cereals to them.
    5. Meat can only be lean (beef, veal, chicken, turkey) without offal. Carefully remove skin, cartilage and veins.
    6. Choose fish only with white fillet, red varieties are prohibited. You can not fry or bake it with a crust. Lightly salted fish is allowed once a week.
    7. Avoid corn, beans, beans and peas completely.
    8. Of the dairy products, only low-fat sour-milk products and butter are allowed. Cheeses can only be consumed in grated form, not salted.
    9. Vegetables containing fiber should not be eaten fresh. You can bake, boil, prepare vegetable purees or juices. It is allowed to eat fresh cabbage and tomatoes without peel.
    10. Greens can only be fresh, finely chopped.
    11. Dried fruits and fruits containing seeds should be avoided. Berries and other fruits should be consumed only ground, in the form of jelly, jelly or compote.
    12. Soda, alcohol and coffee are prohibited.
    13. Cook eggs only in the form of an omelette or soft-boiled.
    14. Spices and seasonings, especially spicy ones, should be excluded. You can prepare homemade sauce for fish or meat.
    15. The amount of salt consumed per day should not exceed 12 grams.

    Thus, the ratio of fats, proteins and carbohydrates in the daily norm should be as follows: carbohydrates 50%, fats 25%, proteins 25% (but not more than 100 g per day).

    Conditions for a therapeutic diet

    Diet table 2 should consist of 2800 kcal consumed daily. Do not allow long breaks without food. The stomach should not experience hunger, especially with gastritis, this is unacceptable. You need to eat 5-6 times a day in small portions. If a person wakes up in the middle of the night and feels hungry, this condition cannot be ignored. It is better to eat a piece of dried bread, cottage cheese or a soft-boiled egg. This will drown out the feeling of hunger, and gastric juice will cease to stand out, irritating the walls of the stomach.

    During the period of diet 2 according to Pevsner, you need to drink 1.5 liters of water daily. Stressful situations should not be allowed, especially if a person has a stomach ulcer. At this point, the stomach begins to shrink or react inappropriately, which can harm the treatment.
