Where are fire alarms installed and why are they needed?

The scope of fire alarm systems is almost limitless. However, there are places where their installation must be carried out without fail:

  • children's institutions (kindergartens, schools and other educational institutions);
  • hospitals and clinics;
  • administrative buildings;
  • the shops;
  • shopping and office centers;
  • cinemas.

That is, in fact, all those premises, buildings and structures where a large number of people gather at the same time.

The role of fire alarms cannot be overestimated - with a serious load on electrical networks, which very often experience communications (a large number of devices turned on at the same time, bright lighting, etc.), a timely alarm can prevent the most serious consequences.

That is why the conditions for the installation and maintenance of fire systems, including fire alarms, are regulated by law and must be strictly enforced.

Who can install and maintain a fire alarm

Work on the installation and further maintenance of fire alarms is not allowed for everyone.

Only special licensed organizations whose employees have undergone professional training have access.

At the same time, even at the stage of putting the building into operation, the fire alarm system must pass an “exam” from the State Fire Control, and subsequently all actions with these devices must be carried out in compliance with certain requirements and standards.

Carrying out checks

Checking the installed fire alarm system should be carried out at regular intervals.

At this event, at least two parties must be present: a representative of the organization serving this object, and an employee of the enterprise in whose possession the building or room with a fire alarm is located. If necessary, the composition of the commission can be expanded by third-party experts.

Why do you need an inspection certificate

Every time test papers must be accompanied by an appropriate act. It fixes:

  • the very fact of verification;
  • instrument status;
  • identified breakdowns, deficiencies and other defects.

Features of drawing up an act

There is no mandatory, unified sample of a fire alarm performance test report, so employees of enterprises and organizations can each time, if necessary, either draw up an act in free form, or, if the company has a developed and approved document template, write an act according to its model. At the same time, the only thing that needs to be observed is that, in terms of its composition, the act meets certain standards of office work, and in terms of text, it includes a number of specific data.

Filling out the heading of the act

In the "header", in particular, you should always indicate:

  • name of the document, place and date of its preparation;
  • the commission that conducted the fire alarm check - you can limit yourself to the names of organizations, but if necessary, you should enter the positions, first names, last names, patronymics of specific employees participating in control measures.

Filling out the main part of the act

In the main part you need:

  • certify the fact of the inspection;
  • write the name of the organization - the owner of the fire alarm and the address at which it is installed;
  • provide a link to the contract in accordance with which verification work is carried out.

If desired, other information can be entered in the act (for example, describe in more detail the data on the fire alarm, the results of its examination).

The formation of the act must be treated very carefully, trying not to make mistakes, inaccuracies, and even more so not to enter unverified or deliberately false data into the document, because. they can subsequently lead to severe penalties from supervisory authorities.

What to pay attention to when applying

In determining the legality of a document, how exactly the act is executed is practically irrelevant. It can be written on letterhead or on a regular sheet of any convenient format, typed on a computer or handwritten.

It is only necessary to make sure that the act includes “live” signatures of responsible persons - in this case, in this case, the use of facsimile autographs, i.e. printed in any way is prohibited.

It is mandatory to certify the form of the act with the help of stamp products only if the norm for the use of seals and stamps is enshrined in the regulatory legal acts of the company (this rule applies to both individual entrepreneurs and legal entities).

Document storage conditions

A properly drawn up and endorsed form must be kept in a separate folder in a place that is not accessible to unauthorized people. At the same time, the contractor CJSC NTF "EVIR" undertakes to perform a warranty repair of the alarm system within twelve months, subject to the customer's compliance with the current operating rules. The customer is obliged to use the alarm in strict accordance with the instructions, and in case of a malfunction, immediately notify CJSC NTF EVIR.
