Making a vegetable garden on a window in a dow. Home comfort in kindergarten: a picturesque garden on the windowsill. Equipment and site preparation

Group formation in the spring

Every year, in our group, we create a corner for environmental work with children in the spring. Together with the children, we design window sills: we plant plants, consolidate plant care skills, keep observation diaries, and rejoice at every success. After all, the flowers grown by us will delight us in the summer at the kindergarten site, and dill, parsley, lettuce and onions are in perfect harmony in our diet. Bringing to your attention an exemplary design example: "Gardens on the window".
Goal of the work: creation of favorable conditions for environmental work with children in the spring.
Tasks:
- to promote the formation in children of an idea of the growth and development of plants;
- strengthening the skills of caring for plants;
- revealing the creative potential of teachers;

Enrichment of the developing environment of groups.
Registration requirements:
- decorative and artistic design: originality, variety, condition of plants;
- participation of children in the design;
- safety, accessibility in the development of labor skills of children;
- the presence of a diary of observations.
1. Schematically showed the "growth of plants", in the photo we have a sunflower.

2. In the design, we used the "alpine hill", the fairy tale "turnip", and the clings from Kinder Surprise and even the old dryer.

3. We separated a zone for three piglets, made their lawn out of yarn and put up a house, fenced it all with cones, gave a second life to the dump truck.

4. Our toys also help in our decoration.

Thank you for your attention, I will be glad if I could give you an idea in the future design of the group in the spring.

I offer you a photo report

»

Which we did last spring with my partner Busuek T. I. Maybe someone will like it and take note of it. What tasks have we set for ourselves? This:

Formation in children of interest in research activities for growing cultivated plants in room conditions.

Introduce a variety of vegetable crops.

Teaching children practical skills in the formation of ecological culture.

Raising a love for nature.

To make it interesting to look at the photo, I picked up beautiful rhymes that I found on the Internet, and which ones I came up with myself.

Rita has a bunch of seeds on her hands.

"You don't have to be afraid

But just don't try to get lost again.

Planted in kitchen garden tomatoes and potatoes, a little carrots, cucumbers, for the tomboy brothers.

The people are surprised:

What miracle is growing here?

We water everything in a row, each vegetable is happy with moisture.

IN the garden is back in vogue greenery, plant vegetables!

IN kitchen garden Seryozhka grows potatoes every year.

Rain and sun mixed - garden grace!

Ilyusha is very clever at growing carrots out of the ground.

Nearby - a small dill, Also the whole curly lad.

The poor radish was planted too close in the garden.

Even a pepper from the frost

Hiding under manure

And it grows for itself, does not wither,

Even though the greenhouse smells bad!

I know, dear bow, you are my good and faithful friend.

I feed all the guys

I force you to eat vitamins.

We got a watering can quickly

And watered the whole family:

To strengthen well done -

Zucchini and cucumbers,

Thanks for all the efforts

Our happy, generous garden

Will give you a rich harvest!

Long awaited harvest.

Why did the cucumber grow?

And you will get an answer:

For salad and vinaigrette.

Result:

The level of formation of the system of knowledge about cultivated plants has increased in children.

Learned practical skills in caring for plants.

The level of ecological culture has increased.

Thank you for your attention!

Winter is already very close. Nature habitually falls asleep under a snow blanket. And in our kindergarten the competition "Garden on the window" will be held again. How much.

Every year with children we create a vegetable garden on the window. They are happy to participate in the planting of onions, garlic, peas, beans, oats, watercress.

Before spring comes, let's prepare the seeds. What you sow, you will reap! And, of course, you will collect. They must show care, It can be seen from the labor of the work.

Today I would like to talk about our mini-garden on the window. The work began in March with the children of the first junior group. Preliminary.

Children spend most of their time in preschool. In part, this is their second home. Through the efforts of educators, the guys learn a lot of new things during the day. For more variety and interest, the program includes creative projects. The garden on the window in the kindergarten, the design in the form of a fairy tale is one of them. Improvised means, patience and imagination will help bring ideas to life.

Many children have no idea how what grows, they are completely unfamiliar with ecological culture. This gap must certainly be filled.

It is extremely important to form aesthetic feelings in preschoolers. And you need to start with the simplest, gradually complicating the task as the child grows older.

Special Requirements

When it comes to young children, it is extremely important to take care of their safety.

  • when setting up a mini-garden on the window, do not forget about the size. They should not go beyond the window sill;
  • to implement the idea, a safe zone is selected;
  • the use of fertilizers is prohibited.

  1. For a garden on the window, you need to choose a sunny side, if there is none, you will have to come up with additional lighting.
  2. Compliance with the temperature regime in the room should not be lower than +17 degrees.
  3. For mini beds you need ready ground. There can be no question of any fertilizers - their use in preschool institutions is strictly prohibited.

Let's start creating

Due to their age, the guys still do not really understand what and how to do. The primary responsibility lies with the teacher. It all starts with the design, here the children can show their imagination. For this, anything will be used, boxes, plastic bottles and glasses. You won’t be able to accelerate much on the window because of the limited space. We'll have to be content with two beds, then to compare them.

It is more correct to give preference to large seeds (onions, beans, peas, indoor cucumbers). Children's motor skills can easily cope with them.

Decor

Children should be directly involved in the process. Correctly planting a seed in the ground, they may not succeed right away, then entrust them with an equally important task - registration.

When creating a garden on a window in a kindergarten, do not forget about the design in the form of a fairy tale. By the way, as an idea, you can use your favorite cartoons. For example, Masha and the Bear.

Plants need warmth to grow well. So, we draw the sun, color it, cut it out and glue it on the window. It will warm the beds. By the same principle we draw clouds and butterflies.

If space permits, you can put a whole onion in the water, and very soon the guys will see the fruits of their labors and even be able to taste a fresh green onion for dinner. Just in a jar, it will look boring and not aesthetically pleasing. You can paste over the container with colored paper, or ask your mother to tie a cover on it, sew buttons on it, they will serve as an eye and a spout. Get Chipolino.

In the same way as the sun, make a tree and glue it on window slope, will be very beautiful. Between the mini-beds, arrange the figures of animals. It could be anyone, a hare, a cow, a horse.

There is another great idea - to make something like a fence from boards or parts of the designer and attach it to the windowsill with tape. This design will serve as a front garden. Basically, anything can be used. In cars, you can break the beds, and with toys from Kinder Surprise, enliven the free space.

On a wide windowsill, a small “alpine hill” from an old dryer will look great. Each tier will be occupied by plants.

Original design ideas

The older the kindergarten group, the more responsibility for the garden on the window can be assigned to it. Children will quite cope with the cleansing of mini-beds from weeds, they will be able to follow temperature regime and watering. Yes, come up with interesting ideas for the design of a small green corner. Here, for sure, their ingenuity and ingenuity will come in handy, by the way. Under the fence, you can adapt pieces of cardboard. And in the middle of the site to hoist a scarecrow.

In the corner where cucumbers grow, right on the hedge, you can attach colored paper bees. Through the efforts of the guys working on the design, the garden on the window in the kindergarten will look like a fairy tale. Every little thing carries a certain meaning. The task of parents and educators is to explain this to little why.

Just imagine how much joy the child will have when he sees the first shoots. This will spur interest in the garden, because the work was not in vain.

Above, on the window, you can place small flowerpots with flowers. Surely the girls will be interested in taking care of them. At the same time, they will gather new information for themselves. For example, some plants like more moisture and mostly cold watering, others less. And you need to water them only with warm water. Having learned all this, children will be able to independently care for the plant at home.

What is the benefit for the child is the garden outside the window

By creating a miniature garden on the window, children receive new information. They learn to care for crops and build up their vocabulary. Previously, such terms as planting, loosening, seeds and others were incomprehensible to them. And now the guys have a clear idea about all this.

Who would have thought that a vegetable garden on the window helps a child learn the basics of mathematics. Not everyone has the ability to think quickly. Visual material is easier to assimilate, any experienced teacher will confirm this.

You can come up with different problems for addition and subtraction. For example: “we planted 6 bulbs, 4 of them managed to germinate and give a green feather. The question is how many bulbs have not sprouted at the moment.

This is not all the advantages of this project. Direct participation in planting plants develops a sense of responsibility in children. Mastering new knowledge, they independently look for answers to questions of interest. Thus, enriching your inner world and expanding your horizons.

Garden on the window in winter

The outstanding teacher Maria Montessori believed: the interests of "psychological life require that we bring the child's soul into contact with the universe." For children from 3 to 6 years old, “contact with the universe” consists in accustoming them to agricultural work, to breeding animals and plants, to a reasonable observation of nature.

If on the window all year round flowers grow, why not grow vegetables.

What do you need, for example, to grow onions? The air temperature on the window should not exceed 17 ° C, the onion should be watered with warm water at 20 ° C, then the first green arrows of the onion can be cut in two weeks. The bulbs should be 3-4 cm in diameter. Children can be invited to consider the bulb, make a riddle about it:

They threw off golden feathers from Yegorushka,

Made Yegorushka cry without grief.

Before planting, the top of the bulb must be cut off, and the bulb itself should be lowered into water at 140 ° C for a day, then the roots will grow faster. During this time, pre-prepared nutrient soil should be poured into the box to the mark drawn inside the box at a height of 10 cm from the bottom. Spread the bulbs on the surface of the earth at a distance of 1 cm from each other and cover with earth with a layer of 1 cm to the second mark drawn above the first, and then insert a stick 20-25 cm high with a mark 8 cm from the ground into the box. Put the box on the windowsill.

The first task for the child is to water the onion in 2 days and mark it on the card with a conventional sign (for example, a watering can).

The second task is to mark with a green pencil the day the green arrows of the bow appeared. Count eight divisions from this mark and draw a bright strip.

The third task is to track when the onion grows to this bright strip. This will be the time of feeding (1 tsp of ash per 0.5 l of water, insist for two days). After feeding, the plants are sprayed from a watering can with clean water. Two weeks after planting in a box, onions can be cut.

It is appropriate to ask the children a question why you don’t see greenery on the street in winter, but on the window grew green onion. You can recall the poems of I. Tokmakova:

Outside the winter garden

There the leaves are sleeping in the buds.

And those leaves in a dream

Dreaming about spring.

And we have...

Green garden on the window

Here the leaves are not up to sleep

Spring has already come here.

Growing onions in a room may seem like a thankless task, because green onions do not give growth, that is, how much the bulb weighs, how much the green leaves will weigh - arrows driven out of the bulb. But vitamin C, which is so lacking in winter, is contained in green onions several times more than in the bulb itself.

When there is more sunlight, in February you can grow parsley, celery, beets for greenery, which they prefer sunlight, but they do not like to be watered often, they cannot stand fresh air.

First, consider with your child the shape, color of root crops. A small root crop is taken for planting, and if it is too long, it can be shortened, but not more than 1/3 part. Explain to the children that when planting, the top of the root crop should not be covered with earth, otherwise it may rot. If planting is done in a box, then root crops

parsley should be placed at a distance of 5 - 6 cm from each other, beets and celery 6 - 8 cm. The earth should be well watered, periodically it should be loosened.

After three weeks, you can harvest the first crop of greens, in which there is a lot of vitamin ӕ.

Before sowing radishes, you first need to examine the seeds with the children, note the shape, color, size of the seed. Seeds should be germinated in a small plate, putting them on a moistened soft cloth and covering with the same cloth on top. Within 8-10 hours, the seeds should be moistened all the time. Children can do it themselves under adult supervision. As an experiment, germinated and non-germinated seeds are sown, and then they observe which of them will sprout earlier.

M $ but also plant lettuce, dill. Lettuce is a very light demanding crop. Poorly tolerates lack of moisture and high temperature. Don't forget to compare radish and lettuce seeds.

The precocity of lettuce plays a particularly important role, since there are no fresh vegetables at this time and there is an acute shortage of vitamins. Salad is rich in vitamins, mineral salts.

Dill seeds germinate for a long time, so they should be soaked for 2-3 days, changing the water 3 times a day. Before sowing, they are germinated in the same way as they did with the seeds of radish and lettuce.

Lettuce, radish, dill - plants of a long daylight hours. When illuminated for too long, they throw out the arrow. Therefore, they need light protection, that is, covering the box from 18 hours. up to 8 o'clock. morning.

You can change the work of growing plantings. The secret is that each child has his own garden, his own sprout. An individual garden can be a transparent plastic cup, a milk can, a sponge, a transparent plastic bag, that is, any thing into which you can pour earth and pour water over it. Of course, you will find seeds or cut branches. With the help of moms and dads, we will solve the problem with pumpkin seeds, peas, dill, radishes, any grass, any plant.

And now the one with the sponge will become the owner of the grass garden. We press a wet sponge to the seeds (the sponge will absorb them), put them on a plate and in a few days we will see small sprouts. It would be nice to write the name of the owner on the plate: "Masha". It is also learning to read using the “whole words” method. And Sasha has a transparent bag with earth. In it we will plant a pea and a bean (pre-soaked). Moreover, we will plant along the wall so that you can observe how the roots sprout. We will also plant seeds of pumpkin, watermelon, zucchini, any other plant that quickly sprouts in transparent jars or glasses. And let's not forget to stick a sign on the cup - the inscription: “Yura. Peas”, “Sasha. Zucchini" and the like. The sprouts are interesting to watch from above. And if there is something transparent and wide, then, having sown in it, it will be possible to observe immediately from above and from below how the grass grows.

In flat boxes, you can only see the growth of plants from above, so they are less interesting, but planting in an aquarium makes it possible to see both the appearance of roots and further growth of plants.

Let the children plant seeds without soil, wrap the inside of a glass with a wet napkin and place watermelon or pumpkin seeds between the glass and paper, pour a little water (2 cm) into the bottom. Again new experience. Whose future watermelon is this?

Someone wants to grow shoots and then he will cut off part of the stem from the geranium or the plant that is in the group (of course, after consulting with the teacher). An inscription with the name of the gardener and the name of the plant will also appear on the jar. The whole group will observe the growth of the roots. Onions can be planted in the ground, and in clear water, and in tinted and pebbles, sawdust. You get five experimental landings.

You can form a lump of earth along with the seeds of cereal crops (oats, wheat or rye). Wrap a lump of gauze, moisten it with water. Observe the process of seed germination.

Principle: observe, make discoveries, pluck, eat - food for the mind and for the stomach.

Children love experiments with tinted water. We put any branches or stalks of celery, parsley roots in three identical glasses. And then in one we will tint the water with ink, in the other two with food paint - red and yellow - and we will be surprised at the change in the color of the stem.

Children will prompt you for new experiences soon. And parents will be advised to have "laboratories" on the window. And how attentive they will be on a walk, how they will begin to look closely at plants, roots, buds. What comparisons and conclusions will be made.

Let every child feel that Nature is the source of a huge number of discoveries and discoveries, the source of happiness and labor.
