DIY festive wreath for Valentine's Day

Required material

  • Styrofoam heart (sold in craft shops);
  • Ruler, scissors or cutter;
  • Running tool or scissors;
  • carnations;
  • Satin ribbon.

Let's start creating a wreath

We cut the scrapbooking paper of a suitable color into strips. We wind these strips with a running tool or closed scissors. To do this, simply press the scissors to the center of the paper strip and lead them up, pulling the paper. This procedure must be done with two sides of the strip, each time starting from the center. The result is suitable curly blanks.

We attach these “curls” to the foam heart with carnations. We fix the carnation in the center of the “curl”. All curls need to be tightly joined to each other, so the finished wreath will seem more voluminous. Well, in the middle of the heart, in the hollow, you need to fix the tape for hanging the wreath.

Stages of creating a wreath. The more curls, the more magnificent the wreath will turn out.
Do not forget to fasten the tape for hanging the product. Ready wreath in the shape of a heart.

Such a wreath is actually made simply, most of the time is spent on preparing curled strips. But believe me, the result is worth the time spent! This heart-shaped wreath will definitely serve as a wonderful decoration for Valentine's Day.

You can decorate your home and bring a romantic touch to it on the eve of Valentine's Day using improvised materials. We bring to your attention three master classes of wreaths in the form of a heart. They look spectacular, and making them does not take much time.

Master class number 1: a magnificent wreath-heart made of paper

A beautiful three-dimensional heart made of paper cones looks very impressive and can be used as an independent decor element or in compositions with panels, flowers, etc.

materials

To make a decorative heart, you will need:

  • double-sided colored paper in red shades;
  • cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • thermal gun;
  • hot glue sticks;
  • leg-split.

Step 1. Cut the paper into squares. When determining the length of the sides, proceed from the desired size of the heart. To finish the edge of the product, you will need large squares, for the central part - smaller figures. In this case, the paper was cut into pieces with sides of 10 and 7 cm.

Step 2. Fold the prepared squares into cones and fix the figures with hot glue.

Step 3. Cut out a heart from cardboard. Pre-draw it with a pencil and, if necessary, correct the outline.

Step 4. Attach the prepared cones to the cardboard base with hot glue. Arrange paper blanks neatly and tightly. As already mentioned, place large cones near the edge, and attach small ones closer to the core.

Step 5. Bend the cones closer to the center at the base upwards to give the craft volume.

Step 6. WITH reverse side glue a piece of twine wrapped in a loop on a cardboard base. It is needed to hang the product on the wall.

Master class number 2: a wreath in the form of a heart of paper roses

Bright red heart and lush roses that do not fade. In this decorative wreath, these symbols are combined. The roses themselves are easy to make. How exactly, see the master class.

materials

Prepare for work:

  • thin red wrapping paper (can be replaced with corrugated paper);
  • red cardboard;
  • newspaper;
  • tape;
  • scissors;
  • hot glue.

Step 1. Cut the paper into strips. The height of the roses will depend on the width of the stripes, and the splendor of the buds will depend on the length. When deciding on the parameters, keep in mind that the strip will fold in half lengthwise.

Step 2. Remember the stripes with your hands.

Step 3. Flatten them and fold them in half along the long side.

Step 4. To form a rosebud, fold the strip and secure the paper in that position using hot glue. The flower is ready.

Step 5. Make about 40 more of these roses.

Step 6. Draw a heart on the paper. Make it into a wide outline. If necessary, correct everything so that the heart is symmetrical. Cut it out.

Step 7. Attach the newspaper pattern to the red cardboard, circle and carefully cut out.

Step 8. Lay out the cardboard heart on your desktop. Attach paper roses to it using hot glue.

Step 9. Cut the ribbon, carefully singe its edges, and glue it to the back of the wreath's cardboard base.

Master class number 3: a wreath-heart from puzzles

Love and relationships - that puzzle and a wreath-heart made of puzzles, perfectly demonstrates this thesis. You can do this too.

materials

Before starting the process, prepare:

  • puzzles;
  • acrylic paint pink or red;
  • thread or tape;
  • thermal gun with hot glue sticks;
  • brush.

Step 1. On a large piece of paper, draw the outline of a heart. It will help you make a beautiful and even wreath.

Step 2. Take puzzles and a thermal gun and one by one start gluing the pieces together. Adjust the width of the heart-wreath yourself. The number of pieces will depend on the size of the wreath itself and the size of the puzzle pieces.

Step 3. Let the glue dry and paint the resulting product. In this case, preference was given to pink paint.

Step 4. Make a loop of thread or ribbon and fasten it to the wreath so that it can be hung.

Buttons can be strung on a thin wire in two layers. This graceful heart can be hung both on the door and attached to the interior of the apartment.

And on a thicker wire (for example, an unbent hanger), you can attach pre-decorated clothespins - this is a very original wreath. In addition, you can attach valentines or postcards to it - leave love messages to each other.
