How do Disney princesses dress up? Disney princess wedding dresses. Ariel nightgown

From ball gowns to nightgowns, we've selected 30 of the most noteworthy outfits, ranking them from best to worst.

1. Cinderella's ball gown.

Firestarter. It's unbelievable how a godmother, dressed as a high school art teacher, could create such a dress.

2. Ariel's classic shell-shaped bra and fishtail of the little mermaid.

3. Lilac dress and flower decoration in Rapunzel's hair.

The dress is the most ordinary, but hair is the dream of any girl.

4. Red bloomers and bodice Jasmine, Aladdin.

Perhaps Jasmine herself would not have chosen this outfit for herself, but this does not mean that he does not suit her. The red color suits her, the jewelry is perfectly matched, and the high tail successfully frames the face.

5. Tiana's fancy dress, The Princess and the Frog.

Green is a complex color, especially for evening wear, but on Tiana its neon shade looks very good.

6. Belle's winter costume, Beauty and the Beast.

Red definitely suits her. Just look how the white edge on the hood frames the face! She certainly looks a little scared, but who would be thrilled at the prospect of spending time with a monster?

7. Lilac straight dress Meg, "Hercules".

8. Bright turquoise two-piece suit for Jasmine.

Few people can wear a wide hairband at the same time, decorated with precious stone, big earrings and a heavy necklace so that it doesn't look gaudy. Bravo, Jasmine!

9. Ariel's sparkly dress.

It's amazing how Ariel's father could let his daughter out in such a sexy dress?

10 Merida Navy Dress, "Brave".

A simple long-sleeved blue and green dress looks great with red hair.

11. Alice's futuristic jumpsuit "Mr. Rabbit's House", "Alice in Wonderland".

12. Elsa's dress in the Ice Castle, Frozen.

Pretty pretentious, but impressive considering Elsa made it herself.

13. Alice's blue dress with white apron.

Puff sleeves are a favorite cut of Disney princesses, and the apron makes them look amazing. And the hair is just amazing!

14. Pocahontas short suede dress.

A cute little dress with one shoulder strap, but a massive necklace obviously ruins the look.

15. White and blue for Belle.

Not bad, but looks better on Alice.

16. Ariel in a homemade sail and rope outfit.

Just awful! But it looks like a horror from Comme des Garçons.

17. Belle's yellow ball gown.

Quite tolerable, considering that it was made from an old curtain, but what if you pull the string? Get a mini?

18. Attire of a poor stranger for Jasmine.

The next time you play beggar, leave the massive gold earrings at home.

19. Lilac wedding dress Jasmine.

Here the taste has completely changed the usually stylish Jasmine.

20. Anna's winter costume, Frozen

Too bright and overloaded with details. And what kind of bag instead of a bag?

21. Ariel's pink dress for a dinner party.

For girls over seven, the combination of pink and lantern sleeves is unacceptable, even if you are fooling around.

22. Corset over Ariel's dress.

It's probably very stylish, but guys don't get it. Of course, Eric is confused.

23. Snow White, dressed in an incomprehensible what.

What's with the collar? Does it serve as an antenna?

24. Cinderella nightgown.

Cinderella doesn't want to hear about it, but the fact remains that this is the worst nightgown imaginable. Did she get it out of her grandmother's chest?

25. Ariel's nightgown.

Stop, don't. This is the worst shirt ever.

So where can you go in this dress? That's what happens when you trust all sorts of little animals to sew your own dress. She should be thanking her sisters for tearing this nightmare to shreds a minute later. In it, it was simply impossible to appear in front of people.

27. It's a minute later

Still not suitable for a royal ball, but it is quite suitable for a punk rock tea party.

28. Rosa's festive dress, "Sleeping Beauty"

The two fairies can't agree on what color Rose should be on her birthday, so the dress looks like it's covered in blue and pink paint. A disgusting sight!

29. Troll wedding dress for Anna, Frozen

Grass cape and Swarovski crystals don't go together!

30. Ariel's wedding dress

Everything that Ariel knows about wedding dresses, she learned from the soap operas of the late 80s. You can't imagine worse!

We, the editors of the Disney Fashion Blog, always pay attention to the outfits of Disney heroines and love more than anything to look at them in detail. And, of course, make ratings - for example, choose best dresses for the ball, the most relevant outfits of a particular season or for Halloween.

But today we decided to set ourselves even more difficult task- choose the nine most beautiful, in our opinion, dresses that were worn by the heroines of Disney and Disney / Pixar films. Here we go!

1. Bo Peep (“Toy Story”)

The honorable first place went to the stunning beauty of Bo Peep's pink cowgirl dress with a corset and a puffy tulle polka-dot skirt. Let Bo Peep not the central character of the film, but her dress certainly deserves special attention! Take a look at the mesh trim on the bodice: it pairs perfectly with Bo Peep's cane and sets off the soft pink of the dress.

2. Franny Robinson ("Meet the Robinsons")

A dress worthy of getting into streetstyle reports from fashion week in Paris or New York is Franny Robinson. Long black sleeves, contrasting neckline, multi-colored skirt with a fantastic pattern and bright red pumps. Add to this slicked back hair - and you get the heroine of street fashion from the pages of leading magazines.

3. Tiana ("The Princess and the Frog")

Tiana's yellow and green dress is perhaps the most magical dress among all the Disney Princesses. We think that this effect is achieved due to the glow. And, of course, the style: strapless dresses, like no other, emphasize the fragility of women's shoulders.

4. Anna ("Cold heart")

Our eternal object of admiration is Anna's coronation dress, with a velvet bodice and full pleated skirt. It is decorated with the finest pale green lace, embroidered with a small floral pattern and perfectly fitted to the figure. It also combines several different textures (lace, velvet and flowing silk) and shades of green.

5. Joy ("Puzzle")

We could not help but include Joy's dress in this list, because it is the most comfortable of all and most applicable to life. All this - thanks to a simple cut, comfortable length and actual flower pattern. In addition, it emphasizes the shade of Joy's hair and makes her eyes even more expressive.

6. Alice ("Alice in Wonderland")

Simple and functional - this is what the perfect dress for summer should be like. It goes perfectly with any accessories, but above all, of course, with black ballet flats and a headband.

7. Celia ("Monsters corporation")

While Celia's dress isn't what we call work-appropriate, it would easily make her the most fashionable girl in the office. Of course, the mini length, bright green color and fur collar can be arguments against, but just look at Celia! She is a real coquette, besides, the dress favorably emphasizes the color of her skin and hair.

8 Mary Poppins ("Mary Poppins")

A long skirt, a wide bright red belt, a closed bodice and sleeves made of translucent fabric - an outfit not only for the perfect nanny, but also for any fashionista. White color and midi length - at the height of fashion.

9. Disgust ("Puzzle")

We couldn't help but notice the 1960s-style Squeamish dress - with a fluffy skirt, wide straps and a belt with a buckle in the form of capital letter her name, D (in English her name is Disgust). We take note!

Illustrator Claire Hammel lives and works in the USA. Claire was born and raised in Los Angeles, but left the city to attend a design school in Rhode Island. After receiving her bachelor's degree, she almost immediately found herself a job at Microsoft Game Studios Publishing, where she created characters for computer games. Despite excellent working conditions and rising fame, Claire left the studio and currently lives in Seattle, where she collaborates with HBO. Claire Hammel, in her own words, enjoys drawing cowboys and dinosaurs, playing video games and wearing goofy costumes. It is possible that the love of costumes inspired the artist to create a series of illustrations depicting Disney princesses in historically accurate outfits. The idea is quite bold, since the princesses from fairy tales filmed by Disney are not real characters, and an attempt to match them with the costume of the era in which they supposedly lived is practically doomed to failure. However, Claire did a great job and was able to more or less accurately choose outfits for Disney princesses.

MERMAID

Ariel's little mermaid costume is very similar to Disney. Claire Hammel could not determine exactly what era this princess lived in, so she tried to combine several recognizable details that were fashionable for several eras in one costume. The style of a wedding dress with giant puff sleeves was taken as a starting point.

SNOW WHITE

Unlike the Little Mermaid, the time in which Snow White lived can be determined quite accurately - this is the 16th century, Germany. Disney dressed Snow White almost correctly, but such sleeves were not worn in the sixteenth century. In that era, striped puff sleeves were detachable and attached to the suit with drawstrings. So Claire's Snow White dress is more believable.

BEAUTY BELLE

The action of the fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast" supposedly takes place in the XVIII century. At least that's what Disney artists thought. However, at that time, aristocratic women wore dresses with very wide skirts. Long gloves above the elbow were worn, but they came into fashion around 1800. So Claire Hammel only contributed minor changes in the outfit of the Beauty, sacrificing a little historical accuracy. However, her princess costume is more real than the Disney Belle outfit.

SLEEPING BEAUTY

The outfit of Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora is a mix of fashion from different eras. Disney artists couldn't decide what era this 16-year-old princess lived in. At the same time, in the cartoon itself there is a reference to the XIV century, which forced Claire Hammel to significantly revise Aurora's outfit. Her costume is not very attractive, but this is how noble ladies dressed in the Middle Ages. At the same time, do not forget that Aurora is not some Cinderella there - she is a real princess, the only daughter of the king. That is why Claire put a crown on her head, and not a diadem - her Aurora has already married her prince and became queen.

CINDERELLA

According to some reports, the action of the fairy tale "Cinderella" takes place in the middle of the 19th century, in the 1860s. This was the period when crinolines began to take on elliptical shapes. The rigid corset expanded in the back, giving the female figure an extraordinary splendor. The Disney Cinderella dress has no crinoline at all, which is wrong. The shoulders are closed, which is not in line with the fashion of the time. Cinderella Claire's outfit is more authentic. He is a bit old-fashioned, but do not forget that Cinderella was dressed up by the Fairy, who was hardly versed in the then fashion trends.
