Lizobakt side. What helps Lizobakt: instructions for use for children. Contraindications and negative effects

Stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis - all these diseases of the oral cavity are, as a rule, bacterial in nature. Usually, with such pathologies, doctors are accustomed to prescribing antibiotics. However, not all patients tolerate them well, and many have a persistent prejudice against them. And in the event that a child is sick, then the selection of an effective and at the same time safe drug becomes a serious problem. In such cases, Lizobakt medicine can help out - a modern antiseptic for the throat and oral cavity, which contains only components natural for the human body.

Description

Probably, everyone is well aware that one of the functions of saliva is the disinfection of the oral cavity. However, not everyone knows why saliva is a natural antiseptic. The main component of saliva that exhibits antimicrobial activity is the protein enzyme lysozyme. Its full name is the mucolytic enzyme mucopeptide-N-acetylmuramyl hydrolase. Lysozyme is one of the natural components of the human immune system. It is also found in breast milk and is found on the mucous membranes.

Lysozyme promotes the destruction of the shells of various harmful microorganisms. Interestingly, this substance is active not only against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, but also against some viruses, as well as fungi.

It is lysozyme that is the main component of the drug. Thus, Lizobakt has a natural healing effect on the mouth and throat. Unfortunately, the natural lysozyme contained in saliva may not be enough for massive attacks on the body of pathogens. Thus, Lysobact provides additional doses of lysozyme, due to which its concentration becomes sufficient for the manifestation of an antiseptic effect.

In addition, lysozyme stimulates some elements of the cells of the immune system, for example, antibodies, participates in the formation of a non-specific immune response of the mucous membranes.

The second component is pyridoxine. This name will not tell the majority about anything, however, pyridoxine is also known to the general public under the name of vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is one of the most important compounds for our body, the need for which increases significantly with lesions of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. Pyridoxine performs a kind of protective function in relation to the mucous membrane, helping it to recover from severe bacterial and viral infections. In particular, pyridoxine prevents the formation of aphthae on the mucous membrane. Vitamin B6 does not interfere with the therapeutic effect of lysozyme.

Is Lyzobakt an antibiotic or an immunomodulator?

It should be noted that the drug does not belong to antibiotics, although the mechanism of its action is in many respects similar to the mechanism of action of antibiotics. However, antibiotics penetrate the systemic circulation and often create a serious burden on the kidneys and liver, and also kill beneficial microflora in the gastrointestinal tract and other parts of the body, which Lyzobakt does not do. It has only a local antiseptic effect. In addition, Lizobakt contains a vitamin that promotes tissue regeneration. Also sometimes Lizobakt is called an immunomodulator. However, although lysozyme affects the immune system to a certain extent, this is its secondary property and the drug can be called an immunomodulator with a stretch. Unlike true immunomodulators, the drug does not interfere with the subtle mechanism of the functioning of the immune system, although it provides significant assistance to it.

Indications

The drug is used in the practice of treating dental diseases and diseases affecting the mouth and throat. These are, first of all, pathologies caused by a fungal, bacterial or viral infection:

  • gingivitis (inflammation of the gums);
  • stomatitis;
  • aphthous ulceration of the oral mucosa;
  • catarrhal phenomena in the throat, accompanied by redness, swelling, coughing, perspiration;
  • erosive processes on the oral mucosa;
  • laryngitis;
  • tonsillitis;
  • pharyngitis;

Also, the drug can be prescribed after surgery for the surgical removal of the tonsils.

In most cases, taking Lysobact should be accompanied by treatment with antibacterial or antiviral drugs. With a strong cough, it is also necessary to take mucolytic and expectorant drugs.

Release form

There is only one form of the drug - Lizobakt tablets for resorption. Each tablet contains 20 mg of lysozyme and 10 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride. Also in the tablets there are a number of excipients:

  • sodium saccharin - 0.5 mg;
  • tragacanth gum - 10 mg;
  • lactose monohydrate - 155 mg;
  • magnesium stearate - 4 mg;
  • vanillin - 0.1 mg.

The drug is produced by the Bosnian pharmaceutical company Bosnalek. Tablets must be stored at a temperature of + 10-30 ° C. Shelf life - 5 years. The tool can be purchased at a pharmacy without a prescription.

Analogues

It is far from always possible to purchase Lizobakt at the nearest pharmacy. And someone may find the price of the drug too high, someone may find intolerance to the drug. In short, there may be many reasons why there may be a need to replace Lizobakt with another remedy. There is only one structural analogue of the drug, which is called Lysozyme-Pyridoxine. Also in the pharmacy you can find other antiseptics for the oral cavity, including those with immunostimulating properties.

Such funds include:

  • Agisept,
  • Imudon,
  • Grammidin,
  • Lizak,
  • Strepsils,
  • Pharyngosept,
  • Dorithricin,
  • laripront,
  • Septefril,
  • Septolete.

Contraindications

Due to the presence of exclusively natural active ingredients in the preparation, the list of contraindications for its use is small. The main contraindication is individual intolerance to the components of the drug. It is also not recommended to give the drug to children under 3 years of age. The reason for this, however, is not the fact that the components of the drug are harmful to young children, but the peculiarities of the use of the drug. After all, it must be kept in the mouth until completely absorbed. But a rare two-year-old baby will follow this recommendation. Most likely, he will just swallow the pill, because it tastes good enough. Thus, the entire therapeutic effect of the drug will be nullified.

Since the tablets contain lactose monohydrate in a sufficiently large amount, the drug is contraindicated in lactase deficiency and lactose intolerance. On the other hand, the tablets do not contain carbohydrates, but only a sweetener - sodium saccharinate, so the tablets can be taken by patients with diabetes.

The drug does not have any effect on the speed of psychomotor reactions, so it can be taken by persons driving vehicles or doing work that requires concentration.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Apply the drug for breastfeeding and pregnancy is quite possible. After all, unlike antibiotics, it is a local drug, and it almost does not penetrate into the systemic circulation. However, during pregnancy, dose adjustment may be required, so it should be taken under the supervision of a physician.

Interaction with other drugs

The drug has no significant negative interactions. Moreover, it has been found that Lysobact enhances therapeutic effect many antibiotics (penicillin, chloramphenicol) and diuretics. However, some drugs can reduce the activity of pyridoxine. These include immunosuppressants, pyrazinamide, isoniazid, penicillamine, estrogens, including those contained in oral contraceptives. In addition, Lizobakt helps to reduce the effectiveness of levodopa.

Side effects

The drug has a small number of contraindications - for the same reason why it does not have significant side effects. After all, it consists mainly of natural components that are always present in the human body. However, for any drug, reactions of individual intolerance in the form of allergic side effects(urticaria, itching, hyperemia, rash), and Lysobact is not an exception to the rule in this case. If, when taking the drug, undesirable phenomena appear, in particular, allergic reactions, then the use of the drug should be stopped immediately.

An overdose of the drug is unlikely. However, if the drug is taken in doses that are significantly higher than therapeutic, then symptoms such as slight tingling, numbness and loss of sensation in the limbs may appear. The main method of treating an overdose is forced diuresis, in other words, drinking plenty of water.

Instructions for use

The dosage of the drug depends on age. Here's what these recommendations look like over the years. At 3-7 years old, the drug is prescribed at a dosage of 1 tablet 3 times a day. Children 7-12 years old should take a Lizobakt tablet 4 times a day, and children over 12 years old and adults are recommended to take 2 tablets 3-4 times a day.

You should pay attention to the method of taking the pills. In no case should they be swallowed immediately with water, or chewed. Lizobakt tablets are intended for resorption. In the oral cavity, they gradually dissolve, turning into a liquid containing medicinal substances. As recommended in the instructions for use, this liquid should be kept in the mouth as long as possible without swallowing. The effectiveness of the drug depends on compliance with this recommendation. In addition, after resorption of the tablets for half an hour, it is not recommended to eat or drink in order to preserve the film of medicinal substances on the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat as much as possible.

The course of treatment with Lizobakt for children and adults may take more than one day. It all depends on how long the symptoms of pathology are present. In some cases, the drug must be taken for a week or two or even longer.

Lizobakt for children

Children are the main group of patients for whom the drug is intended. The tablets have a pleasant taste, contain a sweetener and a natural flavor - vanillin, so even the most fastidious kids will like it.

Tablets are recommended for use from 3 years. The dosage is determined by the age of the child. Children under 7 years of age are recommended to take Lizobakt tablet 3 times a day. Children of primary school age can be given one tablet of Lizobakt 4 times a day. 2 tablets 3 times a day should be taken by children over 12 years old.

The only thing that parents need to explain to the child is that it is necessary to dissolve the pill as long as possible, do not swallow it and keep the dissolved liquid in the mouth longer. You should also ensure that the child does not drink or eat anything for half an hour after taking the pills.

Lysobact is an antiseptic, antibacterial pharmaceutical recommended for the suppressive treatment of gum disease, oral cavity, tongue, throat and larynx. It contains two active ingredients: lysozyme and vitamin B6/pyridoxine. As you know, these natural substances are synthesized in the required amount in a healthy body. Let us consider in detail the instructions for using the drug Lizobakt, its analogues, prices and reviews, as well as recommendations for taking the drug by children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Compound

Lizobakt tablet contains:

Main substances:

  1. 20.00 mg - lysozyme hydrochloride;
  2. 10.00 mg - pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Auxiliary (additional) substances: lactose monohydrate, vanillin, sodium saccharinate, gum tragacanth, magnesium stearate.

General information

Lysozyme (muramidase) is a natural protein enzyme. It is contained in the human body: in biological fluids, namely saliva, blood, lymph, women's milk, etc. Its bactericidal properties provide protection against various infections and inflammatory diseases. Often, as a result of a decrease in immunity, after stress, hypothermia or overwork, a violation of the rate of synthesis of one's own lysozyme is observed, which leads to a weakening of resistance to pathogenic bacteria, rhinoviruses and fungi. In this case, the deficiency of this enzyme should be compensated by artificial measures.

Active substance - pyridoxine, is synthesized in the human intestine and has a protective effect on the entire internal mucosa. With a deficiency of this substance, as a rule, inflammatory processes develop in the larynx, throat, gums and tongue.

These two main components of Lysozyme play an important role in maintaining local (local) immunity of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, as well as in increasing the protective functions of the body against potential infectious agents. Therefore, today Lizobakt is considered one of the best drugs that can significantly reduce the harmful effects of microorganisms on the body. Doctors prescribe it at the very first signs of the disease, both for adults and children.

Why choose Lizobakt?

What are its advantages over other antiseptic (antibacterial) drugs?

  • Lizobakt activates the body's defenses to strengthen local immunity, restores and stabilizes the oral microflora.
  • The protein enzyme included in the preparation destroys the cellular structures of various bacteria and protects the oral cavity from all kinds of harmful factors.
  • When the cell (mucopolysaccharide) walls of bacteria are destroyed, the smallest fragment is released - muramyl dipeptide, which is an immune activator. Muramyl dipeptide enhances the absorption and digestion of pathogenic microorganisms, exhibits antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial effects.
  • Pyridoxine actively provides antioxidant protection, suppresses bacterial and rotavirus infections, ensures the exchange of amino acids and proteins, and participates in the processes of metabolism and regeneration (recovery) of the mucosa.
  • B6 activates mechanical processes to protect the oral cavity from various infections, restores cells and tissues affected by bacteria, and produces antibodies against pathogenic bacteria.

Release form

The drug is available in the form of tablets intended for resorption. There are 3 blisters with annotation in a cardboard box. 1 blister contains 10 compressed tablets.

Considering that this disease is accompanied by such symptoms: pain and swelling of the throat, the appearance of plaque and purulent plugs in the lacunae of the tonsils, the drug will do the work of an antiseptic. However, with this disease, antiseptic alone cannot be dispensed with.

Along with Lysobact, antibiotics are also prescribed for acute tonsillitis. In addition, the drug enhances them therapeutic effect and greatly accelerates the healing process.

The most common question in the pharmacy: which is better?

Many, going to the pharmacy, are faced with difficulty in choosing a medicine. The question is often asked: which is better, Lizobakt or Imudon? Tantumverde or Lizobakt? Lizobakt or Laripront? And so on. Let's do a little comparative analysis, think a little and draw conclusions.

Therefore, Lysobact is a priority in the complex treatment of a bacterial infection of the throat. And one more advantage of the drug: it is two times cheaper than Imudon.

Which is better, Tantum Verde or Lizobakt?

Tantum Verde is produced in the form of tablets, solution and spray. The active substance is benzydamine hydrochloride.

The drug is allowed for children from the age of 3, but in comparison with Lyzobakt, it has side effects: causes burning, numbness of the tongue, dry mouth, skin rashes.

The price of these drugs are almost equal. Advantages of Lysobact: active ingredients of natural origin, high therapeutic efficacy, good tolerability.

Better Lizobakt or Laripront, what to choose?

The composition of the drug Laripront also includes lysozyme. The second component is dequalinium chloride (ammonium compound). It often causes an allergic reaction. This drug has a deeper and faster antiseptic effect. However, Laripront does not have a regenerative effect on the damaged mucous membrane of the throat and mouth. It is more expensive for the price.

Composition, form of release and action of the product

Lizobakt are lozenges, sweet in taste. They contain 2 main active ingredients: lysozyme hydrochloride (an enzyme found in human saliva) and pyridoxine (one of the B vitamins), as well as auxiliary components.

Thanks to lysozyme and pyridoxine, the drug is an excellent antiseptic that strengthens local immunity, protects the body from bacteria and promotes healing of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity. It is not an antibiotic and is safe for children. In addition, Lizobakt does not contain sugar and can be prescribed to diabetics. It is sold in pharmacies without a prescription.

Indications for prescribing the drug

Lysobact is a strong antiviral and antiseptic agent that helps to cope with lesions of the mucous membranes of the throat and larynx, gums and oral cavity. This medicine is prescribed for acute inflammatory processes of infectious origin.

  • sore throat;
  • angina (including Vincent's angina);
  • tonsillitis;
  • tracheitis;
  • bacterial or fungal gingivitis;
  • stomatitis caused by the herpes virus;
  • erosions and ulcerations on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity;
  • acute respiratory viral infections.

Tablets are effective in diseases of the throat of various etiologies

The drug is effective in mild inflammation of the larynx. It relieves the first symptoms of infections, such as cough, tearing, runny nose. With angina, the main method of treatment is antibiotic therapy, and Lizobakt is used only as an adjuvant that enhances the work of the antibiotic and reduces its adverse effect on the body.

The drug works well for sluggish and prolonged pharyngitis in immunocompromised patients. It is also used in the postoperative period after tonsillectomy or cryodestruction of the tonsils.

Instructions for use

Due to the safety of Lyzobact, it can be used during childbearing, starting from the first trimester, and during breastfeeding. The medicine is taken 20-30 minutes before meals. The tablets slowly dissolve without chewing or drinking water, keeping the resulting mass in the mouth for as long as possible. If used incorrectly, Lizobakt will not provide the desired effect, so the treatment will be useless. Rules for taking and dosage for babies under 3 years old

According to the instructions, the drug can be taken by children from 3 years old, when the child can understand how to use the pills correctly. However, due to its composition, Lysobact for children is sometimes prescribed for infants.

Infants need to crush 1/3 of the tablet into powder and pour it into their mouth or spread it on a pacifier, not allowing them to drink water for half an hour after ingestion. The effectiveness of this method of treatment is less than with self-resorption, but it makes the child feel better. Sometimes complex therapy with antipyretics and antibiotics is required. The decision to prescribe Lizobakt to a baby is made only by a doctor.

Dosage, frequency of administration and course of treatment for children over 3 years of age

The drug should be taken in the following dosages:

  • children from 3 to 6 years - 1 tablet three times a day;
  • for children from 7 to 12 years old, the dosage is increased - 1 tablet 4 times a day;

In this regard, it is more correct to choose another method of preventing colds, for example, hardening.

Drug analogues

Lysobact is the only drug that contains both lysozyme and pyridoxine. It has no analogues in terms of active components. However, there are many alternative medicines, also available in the form of lozenges or lozenges, that can have a similar effect:

  • Agisept,
  • Hexalis,
  • Geksoral, (we recommend reading:)
  • Grammidin (local antibiotic and antiseptic),
